Judgment day.

I noticed something about my thought process when I judge others. I expect my judgment to change reality. I must think I am god.

for a bit of perspective tonite and tomorrow is Yom Kippur *the holidays begin in the evening* god is god and you are you. it's a kind of judgment day that comes each year the sins of the year are reviewed before a clear mind while fasting and repentance of a sort takes place. (the process is difficult)

Well my sin is the arrogance of doubting the existence of god and scorning religion. Among about a million other things. Plus I'm unrepentant.
Am I forgiven anyway?

I forgivest thou.
You are guilty of doubting the concepts of God. You do not doubt your own Consciousness and if you were to follow your own Consciousness back to its source, you would Experience God and have no need to hold a concept about God. Concepts are thoughts which are as ephemeral as clouds. We may wish to keep certain thoughts in mind over long periods of time, but those thoughts (about God) remain in time. God is not in time and thoughts about God are not God.
The eye which sees but which cannot be seen is the paradox of being, at bottom, Being Itself. Your judgement is also a thought-emotion (Hod-Netzach) and so it is not God either. The 'space' of Consciousness from which your thoughts and emotions take form is 'God.' Tat Tvam Asi! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tat_Twam_Asi

it doesn't matter what you believe, as long as you are aware of it, and forgiveness is not that big an issue on Yom Kippur honesty is.
I guess it's more about admission of fact rather than guilt.
truth before the almighty muchness, by any name, of whatever known or unknown power. (preconceived notions of god don't actually help in this process of atonement, which is a measuring one's self against one's sense of justice and one's conduct for the year.)

if everyone was aware of everyone else's thoughts, we would judge ourselves as one. then would come "judgment day"

Judgment isn't good or bad, it's just fact. It's a revelation of what things truly are. There is no imposed judgment, just simply a revelation which you know to yourself must be true.
Jesus said to the Pharisees that he would never judge them. Never judge the judgers? That's kind of an object lesson to me, at least. He said that they would be judged by Moses, in whom they had put their hope: by their own dynamic. So really, we're judged by ourselves. When we judge others, we are judging ourselves, because we really are each other, and what I see in you is really inside of me.
If judgment were really to occur, I think everybody would be surprised. Nobody can truly see themselves. We look in the mirror for a reason, to see things that we don't know are there on our own.
Judgment by its purest meaning will only ever come after we decide to look upon ourselves and away from others.

I burst as it shattered through me, like a bullet through a bottle... and I'm expected to believe that any of this is real!" -mewithoutYou "To believe in the wide-awake real, through all the stupefying, enervating, distorting dream: to will to wake, when the very being seems athirst for godless repose: these are the broken steps up to the high fields where repose is but a form of strength, strength but a form of joy, joy but a form of love." -George MacDonald

...And when Being takes your attention, there will be "no more blah blah blah." Do you think that you exist in complete isolation? Like everyone else, you are a wave formed of the Ocean, which is God.

If you were the creator I would take your pontifications seriously. But as you know as little (from your posts) about it as I, I can just go on my merry way.
Now I do believe that I am made of the same stuff as everything else. What that means or if it is important in any egocentric man wishing way I do not know.
I am honest enough to admit to this unlike some.

I think Pontiffs pontificate and the Creator creates. I however, just 'am' and Being in this simple sense IS Knowing.

When you judge others you are merely reflecting the judgments that you have learned to make about yourself. Others are merely mirrors reflecting the disenfranchised parts of ourselves. This is the key to understanding the petty tyrant.
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Reminds me of the verse, "You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things."
