3 WBS jars ready - no casing material!

So here's the deal, I have three WBS jars that are 100% colonized, and I STILL cannot find ANY Calcium Carbonate ANYWHERE to case my jars, and I don't believe I can wait the week for ordering it online. Is there any alternative method where the supplies can be purchased locally?
I read up on the coco coir method but didn't know if it was OK, due to the review rating. I have some Potting Soil w/ Moisture Control (mentioned in another form) that has coir and what not in it. Someone suggested that mixing that with verm should do the trick as well. Any thoughts or has anyone ran into a similar issue? These jars colonized A LOT faster than expected. Thanks!

order your stuff online. add your 3 jars to a bulk substrate and you will be much happier in the long run. takes a little longer tho. then your stuff will be there when you are ready. buys you time and gives you more!

I would roll with using the MGMC. I have heard of people using it straight out of the bag (after pastuerizing of course) and working wonders. Thats what I'm doing when my tub finishes colonizing

Just get some Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil at the store. That'll work fine.

I have never used but I have read that if it is strati form the sealed bag there's no need to pasteurize!!! but I have never done this!! and I don't recommend it!

Spawn the WBS to paseurized coir, let colonize for 7-10 days until fully colonized, then case it with the MGMC, let colonize for another 3-5 days, and then introduce it to fruiting conditions.

I, too, would recommend using MGMC as an alternative to a homemade peat moss and vermiculite mixture. For the record, you can live without the calcium carbonate. Before 50/50+, there was plain 50/50 for years.

um...calcium carbonate is not a casing medium...it's an additive and very useful but not 100% necessary. you can case is straight verm if need be, with good results - or with MGMC, or 50/50, or coir, there's lots of options out there.

I realize it's an additive, but I don't have any so I could make the sufficient formula of 50/50+. I just cased it using MGMC that I had laying around after pasteurizing it. I appreciate everyone's help, and pics coming whenever they start showing signs of growth.
