Yeah, so I'm finally starting to see a little colonization.
I was so excited I wanted to make love to the jar.
Question: I was talking to someone who wondered if I were to mix up ground morning glory seeds in with the casing mix if that would add anything to the resulting crop. I said no, but when he asked why, I couldn't really tell him. I just know the answer's "no".
Anyone want to tell me why, in case he gets the stupid idea again?

For one your going to get this thread shut down. with your dick talk. go ahead and do it seems like you shouldn't be colonizing mushy's anyway.
No the morning glory seeds wouldn't do anything. Why would you put those in there? That's wasting them.
Read the tek's. Use these threads professionaly. We're all adults here you don't need to say stupid shit.

I'm serious all the time because I come here to learn and to give tips that I have learned. The other mushroom sites are full of post like these.
I don't care for post like these. It's immature and it shouldn't be on here. I'm not the only person on here who doesn't like these post.
So Alion I don't know why your getting involved. I guess you like reading irrelevant stuff about mushroom cultivation.
SORRY IF I LIKE TO KEEP IT REAL AND I COME HERE FOR WHAT IT'S MEANT FOR THIS ISN'T NO YAHOO CHAT ROOM!

Dude, life is way too important to be taken seriously.
There's no argument here, I changed the wording so it still expresses my excitement at seeing colonization without offending people with the use of the d-word. I'm sorry if I ruined your experience, no harm was meant.
So can we please return to answering the question of why putting alkaloids in a casing mix won't change the alkaloid content of a resulting fungus?

I heard that tryptamine is supposed to up the psychoactive constitutes of cubensis mushrooms, but I don't think morning glories contain tryptamine but rather a lysergic acid type chemical ..

it's like LAD or something, i can't remember but it's not trptamine
i doubt the mushrooms would take anything but what it needed to grow from the seed, can mycellium even process alkaloids?
if you ate the substrate with the mushrooms, then sure

That has never been proven and from the multiple tests i have done(and others) it doesnt make a difference.
