They look like cubes. Maybe two different strains or just another harvest. Anyway, they should make you trip...

veda sticks is right there are shrooms that bruise blue but are not cubies
those shrooms are prolly just from a seperate cake or casing or possibly they were just allowed to mature more, who knows
look like cubes to me
question for all; do dry shrooms still bruise? i've never paid attention, always knew what i was eating

i do see bruising on that one though they probably aren't completely dried bluing means the psilocybin is breaking down doesn't it?
maybe your dealer didn't completely dry them and therefore slacked you :-P jk he's probably reading this i would recognize shrooms if i'd sold some

Are there any mushrooms that bruise blue and don't have active chemicals? I would really like to know.
I guess that's no defense against an active mushroom bruising blue, but growing in such a way that it would concentrate poisons in its environment and thus become poisonous.
The ones in the pic look homegrown though.

those are definately homegrown. they are nice and clean. ones outside are covered in dirt and crap. also, you can have fruits of the same strain that look different. and they will always bruise blue when picked. those look pretty dried up, so i am guessing you didnt get ripped off.

there are shrooms that resemble cubes, bruise blue, but have no psilocybin, those look like cubes to me because of the stems. The only false cubes I've seen dont have fat stems that bruise blue, they only bruise blue on the cap. I'm not saying there isn't a look a like that is poisonous, I just haven't seen any here in southwest florida. be careful

I can think of several boletes that bruise blue, none of which have any psychoactive compounds... some of them taste yummy, some of them are toxic. Some suillus will also bruise blue, once again, no psychoactive compounds.
Blue bruising is not terribly uncommon in mycology and absolutely cannot be used as a rule of thumb for safety, for or against, regardless if you can correctly identify the genius of the species.
