Stem strains that are meaty solid stems?
    #7433982 - 09/20/07 07:55 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

The PESA i have said it has a meaty stem, but there arent anymore that says much about the thickness and density of out the stem.
I read humidity has effect on the hollowness of the mushroom.true/false.

False. Hollow stems appear to be genetic in nature and appear from time to time in all strains, regardless of growing conditions.

that is what I have read, but from what I have seen, when the humidity is lowered, the stems are more solid (average)

well i know they have a hole up the middle but a more meaty stem is what im loking for. My B+ was totally lame with super hollow stems and the PESA was pretty solid not loosing much weight when dried. i dunno i guess i need to take my time and learn more about this hobby. always learning!! i love it!
