    #7433804 - 09/20/07 07:08 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

That cpw sent me:cheers:, I took a few pics il get more later.

I ran out of peat/perlite to make soil with so I had to deal with the room I had for now.

Sinicuichi?

What are these on each side?

they are Silene Capensis
and if that stem got pinched it may die. If so I will send more, I have some older ones too.
also I would plant them in their own pots. they can get pretty huge......

that plant I split into 6 plants through rhizome division.
also once they start flowering they really take up space. I tie the flower stalks all together and it saves space

Would those be able to live in normal soil, thats all I have, I have extra pots, no more airy soil.. No verm/peatmoss/perlite gotta buy more ran out of it pretty fast. I dont think the main stems got pinch but just most the leaves have breaks in them :nonono:

hmm silene capensis.. Il try that out when they get big enough, have you tried it yet?

yeah but nothing extensive. seems to help though.
take 2 liter bottles and cut the top off and poke holes for drainage in bottom. use normal dirt from your yard I am sure they will do fine.

 Man I'm an idiot.  Should have known it was Silene, having gotten a couple plants from you myself .  They're doing great BTW, seem to be giving off little plants from around the base just like you said.  Don't mean to derail the thread, but cpw you said you eat the leaves from time to time.  Any noticeable dream effects?

well i have store bought soil and a few extra pots. I was thinking theyd do better off in a peat type soil like you sent them in.

also are the cacti fine by a southern windowsill?

yeah man clean soil is good cause you want to save the roots for consumption.
and yeah I think the cacti would be fine but I am not sure.
