Let Me Thank You

Man, I'll sure miss this dream when its over. Like a beautiful woman on the street, I wish I could take you with me to look at and remind me of just how special it was. I'm afraid of forgetting; of letting go of all of this. I won't remember a thing by lunch; maybe a few general emotions but never the exact moment associated with. Whew; man. It's sad. I think I'll miss the laughing, the joking, the smiles, the faces, the tears...the laughter...the laughter...especially the laughter. Something about that emotion that just screams freedom and pure love; love of the moment. And yet, it will all be gone someday. So, thank you; for these memories and the ones to come, for I hope one day we will meet again. And as total strangers, tell one another, "Man, you sure look familiar." I hope and pray for that day; that initial laugh; the beginning of something great. If there is one thing to remember, one thing to hold onto, remember to say, "Thank you" and know what it truly means.
-------------------- So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

If there is one thing to remember / and know what it truly means.
There is a lot of power in this.
Nothing can be held on to though I'm afraid. If you are a gambler in life and know it then remember. "Hold on tightly, let go lightly".

I've tried to live my life like this but sometimes you just want the movie to go on. The 'cut to black' just catches you off guard.

This ocean is so wondrous.
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Indeed that's true. You can only do the best you can and try to be content with that, whether in victory or defeat.
