no one really knows a lot about the SOS here, it seems. it's not really trendy anymore. i tried it once and got meager results, then contamination. i just put my cups in a humid terrarium, the same one i use for cakes, like the tek said. i was using perlite, although hand spraying might work better for this because casings seem to like the ~%92 humidity levels that it gives, whereas cakes like the %100 of perlite. i can't really recommend this tek, although if you're curious go ahead and make a few cups out of a jar.

a drip shield isn't necessary...if you spray your casing once or twice a day with h20/h202 directly it should be fine.
