Hard to tell, considering you don't even mention what's in the jars.

If all of them contaminated, I'd suspect a lot of green mold in the environment. Use a glovebox.

it happens to the best of em just remember it only takes one microscopic bacteria to slip through to ruin a jar its ok though even the most experienced have a bad jar every once in a while

I think ive figured it out

I believe there was some mold in the jars that wasnt washed out the correct way as this particular jar set had molded mycelium and was thrown out

I did wash the jars but I tihnk theyll need the be PC'ed or bleached

what needs to be done once jars have had mold in them to sterilize?

will bleach do the trick?

Soap and water works fine. Anything left over will be killed when you PC your grains.

You should've PC'd the jars *before* spreading mold spores all over their house. They then require no further sterilization. Rinse out, use again.

Bleach will not "do it". It will not kill live molds.

ok so what should I do?

PC the jars before putting the substrate in and after?

and what about the mold spores now floating around in abundance?

PC them before you open them.
