Is my monotub fucked up?

I am probably being paranoid, but is my monotub look right? There is a whole lot of fluffy and not much rhizo. It was WBS spawned to straight coir. What do you all think?

Well, all my jars looked like this, and they smell just like mushroom.

Not all strains of a species are going to be rhizomorphic. If it was a multispore inoculation it's just a shot in the dark, it could be perfectly normal for whichever strain won out the "colonization wars".

Looks healthy to me as well. Healthy mycelium is often mistaken for cobweb; you look okay to me, and the next few days should thicken up that colonization.

Yeah I figured it was good, I am just paranoid since this is my first bulk grow. I figure I'll give it two weeks before I start thinking about fruiting. I'm thinking about casing, doesn't it give you a better pinset? I was gonna leave it uncased since it doesn't require as much work. The top of the material is very hilly, I didn't do a very good job of spreading it even. Will that affect pinset? I'm thinking it would lol.

Also, there is no condensation on the top of the lid. There was for like the first day (or maybe the first few hours? I can't remember) but its not there anymore. Is that a problem? Because I didn't think condensation forming inside meant humidity.

Condensation forming inside is only an indicator that the room is cooler than the inside of the tub.
As long as your coir was properly hydrated you'll be FINE.
Go relax.

Yeah, it will affect pinset somewhat. Your yields will still be markedly higher; just try to spread the casing evenly over the top; you'd like the mycelium to spike to the surface all at the same time.
I'd highly recommend casing regardless of a funky surface; so would the vast majority of those on this site.

Should I make the casing layer be parallel with the surface of the mix, ie it would still be fugly after its spread over, or should I make the surface even by filling in the gaps with casing? I'm assuming the first.

Fugly. You guess correctly. Follow the "patch and case" method (open your tub a few days following casing, and put more casing material on top of any visible myc), and things will turn out dandy.

I've had OK results just sprinkling a small bit of dry verm on top of the colonized coir substrate.
However, this was done because pinning had already begun on the substrate before pinning conditions were introduced.
I've found that the substrate will shrink more whenever uncased, but that the uneven pinset of a "sprinkled" casing can lead to some monster shrooms AND let you pick them on different days (leading to easier drying)

So basically patch it until its poking through more or less everywhere then throw into fruiting conditions?

I'd actually stick it in fruiting conditions immediately, as would most people here. It'll continue colonizing for a while.

what i do is patch the first mycelium mats, then incubate until it grew through the patch, and theres more mycelium around then before patching.. then fruit that bitch
