Being & living efficiently -tips anyone?

im tryin to be as efficient & organized as (comfortably) possible, & a little more healthy. i'll list a few things i do & add more as i think of them. i know we all live different lives but i would still love to hear the things you do personally as well & hopefully reciprocate ideas. =)
- i staple my loose cash into larger increments,
stash it in a moneybag at home to keep me from spending. (i work in a cash tip position)
- i grab a stack of deposit slips from the bank & keep at home.
i fill them out completely once i have a large enough sum to deposit, even if i dont go to the bank that week. sometimes i'll have 2-3 deposit forms to turn in when i actually do head into the bank.
- i condense dropping the rent check, paying the G&E bill,
the bank, & grocery store into 1 trip.
- pay bills online
- i've convinced myself that the sound of loose change
jingling in the pocket is the worst sound in the world. so whenever i get back to my car from lets say...7-11, i immediately put the change in a change cup in the center console. also, if i happen to have change in my pockets when i get home, i separate the silver from the copper. i save the silver in those 50-pack cdr spindle containers, because of this habit of mine, i have quite a few of those bindles completely filled.
- i refill my gastank at the ½ way mark,
instead of waiting for it to get near empty. (alot easier searching for a gas station on ½ a tank than worry as fuck about running out of gas before you get there.) (also i figure i can save money by being able to shop for gas prices, then to fill your tank full once.)
- i keep a dry erase marker board & calender
on the backside of my door, so everything on there is in my face & im consciously aware of whatever might i put on there.
- i write everything down. keywords to thoughts i have,
movies, music, book, etc. recommendations from other people.
- i keep a backpack full of everything i might need
& keep it with me at all times. really convenient to toss random things in there when i think of them.
- while cleaning my flat, i start laundry first,
so i'll have clean laundry to hang after im done.
- i leave my blinds open so the sun wakes me,
instead of some irritating alarm. the sun really motivates me.
- im in a household full of drinkers/partiers,
so we utilize the recycling bins system conveniently located at the garage door. (if not, there'll be 100 bottles everywhere.)
- i utilize an inventory system (using Excel)
for household necessities.
- i utilize a filing cabinet.
i staple receipts to bills & keep receipts, warranty cards & important documents in it.
- i try to follow a daily time line schedule.
- i smoke cigarettes so i make myself go outside
to smoke & i dont smoke in my car.
- i have one of the giant exercise balls
to stretch out on before work.
- i try to never eat fastfood & consider it poison.
- i made this post in between rounds & during commercials,
watching UFC.
anyway, like i was saying, would love to hear anything you do personally.

I use Sunbird and just keep it open. I set it to show me events within the next 7 days. I just keep it open 24/7 and love it some much already.

I've never worried about efficiency really. Yeah I work out, I'll eat healthy, and I'll do certain things instead of others because they're smarter. But I don't try to cut as close to the corners as possible. It's not as fun as just living life however the hell it's gonna be lived.

a practical post r u from europe or oz? i avoid paying bills online or banking, seen too much fraud go down, i will buy the occasional item online, but will not do internet banking make a hidden spot for your cash, put the large amount in a cache and then have like 50 $ in a obvious spot so if u get robbed they think they found all your $ roll your own cigs. save big $ overall eat lots of brown rice, filling, relatively cheap and good for your system bring your bottles and cans to a recycling center, u get more back then u think especially for aluminum brew your own beer, ends up being around 70cents a 12ounce beer for some tasty libation, kits r cheap online when u go out to drink hit the happy hours or some nights there r deals, also bring a flask with u that u fill up from a large bottle u buy at a grocery store, buy 1 drink at the club keep filling it from your flask get a fishing license and fish in the ocean, stock the freezer, fish stays good frozen and vacuumed sealed for a long time

thats exactly how ive lived my entire life, & i'm really over that lifestyle. now adays i like to be as pragmatic as possible in all aspects of my life. but dont get me wrong, i do have a day for myself where i dont do jack shit.
5150 - im from the US, the "oz" in my name is an abbreviation for "ounce" 40oz. is the standard measurment sold in bottles for ghetto malt liquor. but my name "40oz" is actually an abbreviation for "40 ounces to freedom" after an album by the band Sublime.
anyway, your reply was pretty interesting o_0
anyone else care to reply?

I breathe very slowly. It took forever to get used to it. It keeps me grounded in intense situations.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

I get everything ready I will need to bring with me in a day the night before. I tutor and go to school, so I need various notebooks and books on different days. I also try to do all my errands on the way to or from somewhere, so I am never going out for just one errand.

Best thing I do is clean up the whole apartment before bed. If I do it every night it takes ten minutes, and my place is always clean. I used to let it pile up until saturday.
