So I found what look moderately like cyans so I harvested one to check out. Cap is light brown, slightly wavy. Stalk us very light cream brown that whitens more towards the base. Gills are light brown and I'm taking a spore print now. Here are some pictures.
Forgive the low quality, my camera is new and I'm not quite used to it yet.

right off the bat ide have to say thats definitely not cyans.
on a whim, my guesses are some sort of agrocybe, maybe praecox.
clitocybe is also another possibility.
to tell you the truth i dont think u can really ID that mushroom down to species with how dried out it is.

Yeah, my hopes weren't high, but I figured I might as well ask. Any tips for identifying cyans?

Definitely not cyans, cap isn't dark enough for one, I don't see any bluing, although I can't tell for sure what it "is" maybe collybia?
I'll check my guide to see what it might be...

Cyans will have a white stem and will bruise blue around the edge of the cap and on the stem. I've always noticed the blue bruising on the edge of the cap mostly. when you pick one and see it bruise you will know right away.

Chill dude, I just moved out from Denver where we had 0 mushrooms. I saw something that looked kinda similar, just thought I'd ask. That's how you learn.

i just said nothing against you just people in general and if you would have researched pan cyans and saw one picture of em then you wouldnt have had to ask , i mean gotta admit , that looks nothing like a psilo cyan whatsoever..

psi u just said pan cyan and psilo cyan referring to the same mushroom. 
i think we all need a diazepam here.
