Might be the wrong forum to post this in............ But anyway.
Anybody know if there are any P. Cubes indiginious to the Philippines.
A FOAF is going there for a visit to -- Luzon. And, was wondering if it would be worthwhile looking for them.
Any help would be appreciated .

There are both Cubensis and Copelandia mushrooms in the Philipine Islands and some paneolus subbalteatus.. However I am not sure on which island you would find which mushrooms.
mj I know inthe Calvary Hill area on Mindanao there are Copes.

THe cubensis most likely came from Africa which is where most North America cattle are from. Of course the common cattle Bos indicus are from india, also common in Florida.
P. cubensis was first botanically named and identified from Cuba as Psilocybe cubensis Earle, and later renamed Psilocybe cubensis (Earle) Singer). Three years later it was identified from nNorth Viet-nam as Naemataloma caerulescens Patouliard.
