More for the people who wanna call them. Not for someone who doesn't give a fuck.
Politics should be real, you should be able to talk. What i saw was oppression and police abusing their rights. The man was not acting violent, he actually cared about what he was saying and trying to get his point out. We would have had a chance to hear Kerry if, it wasn't for the fags in blue.

I think Kerry actually ended up answering the question. I'm also pretty sure those are campus police who are always quick on the trigger with "rowdy" college kids. I've seen worse, that's my point. The only reason this is a big deal is because of Youtube and because he's a college kid that appears to know his rights. It's fairly clear to me he's trying to get a rise out of the cops with his actions after they try to ask him out.
Maybe he wasn't inciting a riot, and maybe the cops were unreasonable in asking him out in the first place, but after that it's my belief that the rest was of his doing. Had he taken a reasonable course of action (i.e. leaving and talking to the cops outside in a reasonable manner) I'm sure none of that would have happened and he probably would have been let back in.
Also if you read article posted in OTD about it, it appears that the cops weren't responsible for cutting off the mic, I think the person who organized the event was. The cops just simply asked to him to leave, which he could have done like a normal person and taken care of the matter in a private setting.

If that's a group of rent-a-pigs and not real cops, that kid will whoop their legal asses in court. A rent-a-pig doesn't have the right to taze you, hit you, or anything like that unless you're getting violent and are a threat to either their safety or someone elses.
Resisting arrest may be a viable reason for real pigs to taze somebody, and it will hold up in a court. Not rent-a-pigs. Those motherfuckers don't have a shred of power, which is great. Nothing better than fucking with a wannabe cop. The only thing lower than a pig is a wannabe pig.
That said, if those are real cops (hard to tell from the video, but they seemed like rent-a-pigs to me), that kid had it coming, and real police would have had every right to detain him with a tazing. Tazing hurts like a bitch, but it doesn't cause any lasting injury, and is certainly a better way to detain a struggler than trying to pull a Rodney King. I'd rather be at the end of a tazer than a nightstick, that's for damn sure.

Some do, some don't. It varies from campus to campus. I think ours do, I'm not sure though.

The kid was asking some interesting questions. I can't believe they muzzled him like that. Scary shit.

Give me a break. That guy was acting ridicules. They didn't shut him up at all. HE caused a huge fucking scene just trying to call up the towns folk. They were not trying stop him from asking the questions... You think those police officers really care? No, they don't. They do care, however, when he jerked away and started causing a scene. Once that happens in a large crowded area, its grounds for taking someone down as fast as possible. (or it could escalated very fucking fast) I think they should have got him out quicker.
And he deserved the teaser. It doesn't even leave a mark. Just a quick jolt of pain.

I support the kids actions 100% and yes I've seen the whole damn speech, it was aired on Bay News 9. The kid was stunned for using his constitutional right of freedom of expression and quite frankly, we all should support this kids actions, regardless if he was a "whiny bitch". This is America, not Nazi Germany.
Quite Frankly, we need more people like Meyer. Atleast the kids got the balls to speak his mind.

that kid was irritating. they shoulda gagged him as well.
he wasn't excercising intellgent form in his questions, he was just running his mouth like a 5 year old.
that is a tempertantrum, and the taser was the mama's silencing backhand of the law.

He was not under arrest at that point. Only when he started fighting with the cops did he risk arrest, and give them a reason tase him. Why the fuck does he start struggling, yanking and screaming at the cops?
What a whiny bitch. He got exactly what was coming to him.

This type of thought train is exactly the problem with America my friend. All too often we succumb to what Society deems as appropriate behavior, regardless if this behavior is contradictory to our constitutional rights. We have the freedom of expression guarenteed to us in our Ammendments, why not exercise this right?
To not do so is an atrocity my friend. Remember the 3 R's: Resist, Rebel, Revolt.

I mean, I think the kid had it coming to him, BUT Kerry was saying "Don't worry, I'll answer" and was trying to give an answer but the cops got a fucking rush out of bullshit and decided to move in.
He was making a huge scene and I'm slightly more on the side that he deserved it, while the other side of me says it was fucked up of UPD for tasering a student that pays their fucking bills. On top of that, I don't understand why they brought him to the back of the room instead of outside and then took care of him.
either way, I'm not a huge fan of UPD here so I'm partly glad this happened.

I mean the question was interesting. The actual question is in some vids and I would of liked an answer. It was a blind side question I am sure no one was prepared for but it was a question. He just acted like a fool on the mic. If he would of let kerry rebutt without his stream of paranoid consciousness I think it would of been great. But he did sorta cut kerry off on his rant.

I think he was being rushed by the police before he even made his final statement. He had his book in hand and the authorities were standing all around him. Well before he even started to "throw a bitch fit" the cops were interrupting him for raising his voice on a very good question. Only after they interrupted and started to grab at him did he start the rant/babble. His point at the start was not "acceptable" so they instigated him by crowding him and censoring him. If I was trying to make my point, and someone was grabbing me and restraining me, I'd head butt them in the face.
