This show kicks Miami Ink's ass. Kat Von D is such a wicked girl. She's absolutely awesome, smokin', talented. I like that it's mainly women in her shop which is less common in the 'tattoo world'. They're like sisters...lookin' out for each other.

It's pretty sweet. I want a new tattoo...

Kat is a bitch. Or at least she was portrayed as one for the sake of reality tv. How can you come to a shop and complain about how it isnt LA for an entire season, get fired, and then get your own shop and show? It's crazy.

I actually liked the feel of Miami Ink more. Less flashy.

The quality of work done at LA Ink is pretty superior, though.

Honestly, all Miami had going for it artistically was Garver. Fuck Ami James and his superior attitude. Dude's work is mediocre at best compared to ANY of the LA crew.

Not only is she amazingly hot.... but she's also amazingly talented. I've seen maybe 3 episodes of her show and she's done at least 5 PERFECT portraits. Perfect. Her precision is incredible.

I would LOVE to get tattooed by a chic.  That would be such a sensual experience...  Especially the chic from that show.  :yesnod:  I only have one tattoo but I'm working on my next one and I would definitely like to  have someone of her talent to do it.

Pelvic tats, FTW.

I've only seen previews for her show (which tend to be misleading) but it looked like Miami ink on estrogen. Plus, I never cared for Kat's work. skilled for sure, but realistic looking art sucks imo

True, it's your opinion but IMO if someone can replicate a photograph onto someone's arm with perfect detail, they're damn near perfect in my book...

Human skin doesn't really make much of a canvas. All that buzzing then wiping, it's amazing they can even get this [my tattoo] on someone's arm.

I used the phrase sucks to emphasize the point in the way a 14 year old would.

Plenty of realistic art is great, but, I prefer art to be abstract.
