Music for a New Years Party
    #7425185 - 09/18/07 07:09 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

I like to plan parties. Right now I'm thinking of a New Years Eve (tripping) party. Firecrackers are beautiful...

My theme is going to be a little weird and I want the music to play a large part in the atmosphere. I'm wondering if anyone knows any wicked old music... any cds that have that really old, staticy sound like the recording is ancient. Anywhere along the lines of Patsy Cline's "Crazy". I'm thinking of putting the songs from Bioshock's (video game) soundtrack on a few cds along with other interesting/trippy/olden/creepy style music. The decorations are also going to be right from that video game. For those of you who don't know it, it's an futuristic underground city that went rampant on New Years of 59'. I'm going to paint some things out of the game. (Particularly, the rabbit poster.) Trying to get the masks, and I will make the party hats.

Any suggestions for music for me to download for this party would be awesome.

Also any dance/techno/drum and base or heavy rockish stuff for a Halloween party would be cool.

Love Marz Volta. Not as creepy as I'd like it to be... but I could probably take a song or two to mix in for the Halloween party. Thanks!

I'm gonna have a lot of Sleepy Time Gorilla Museum on at Halloween. If you like weird shit, that's a good band. Freaky stuff.
