any knowledge of extremely slow growth?

So a couple months ago I ordered a grow kit kit from Homestead. I know they're a huge waste of money but unfortunately I live in a state where spores are illegal and apparently he doesn't care. It's a bag of rye berries and a 5 pound bag of kow-a-nite.
Everything went fine during the colonization and I put it in the kow-a-nite to fruit. A couple weeks later I found my first pins, only they've been growing rather slow. Rather extremely slow.
From everything I've been able to gather they take about 2 to 5 days to completely mature right? Well its been two weeks since I found the first pins and they're getting bigger, not done yet, but isn't this slow of growth ridiculous? I did a count a couple days ago and there's a low estimate of about 120 new pins but I really hope they don't all take a few weeks each to grow.
My temperature and humidity have both been fine and they seem to be doing fine just insanely slow. Does anybody have any idea why this is or how I could speed it up a bit? I'd really appreciate any advice, thank you.

Hey, as long as they are still growing, don't sweat it.
I don't know where you got 2-5 days as an estimate, I find 7-10 to be more like it. Just be patient. A good pinset is a good thing.

yeah man, don't worry about it
the longer they take the fatter and healthier they are! you'll prolly see a growth spurt when they get to the stage where you can see a wrinkle where the veil connects

well i checked the calender and its been 3 weeks since i saw the first pins. i have about 4 or 5 that should be done by tomorrow. but seriously has anybody else out there ever had any take that long?
theyre pretty good sizes but not considerably fat or anything so that cant have been what it had been stalling on so long. id say 70% of the growth has been in the last week and a half or so,
what do you mean by wrinkle in the veil? theyre amazonians and should be around harvest tomorrow but ill have to wait and see considering how unpredictable theyre growth has been.

well it's not quite a wrinkle IN the veil, it's just that you can clearly see where the veil is attached, kind of like a lip, mine have always finished growing within a day after that stage
yours ARE taking quite awhile though what RH and temp? how much light you giving them? what kind? i've heard a cold shock can do wonders

ah well unfortunately i cant give you precise measurements but its a nice american southeastern climate. plenty of heat and humidity.
yes i can see veils and it looks like one will probably begin rip sometime tomorrow.
i thought cold shocking was for inducing pinning? like i said ive got an abundance of pins but my worry is just the growth. ive just moved them into a warmer place about 4 feet under a window since its starting to get a bit cooler now. light is for telling them when to pin and which way to grow right? they dont actually need it to grow though

yes they need it to grow. that's why you're supposed to have 12 hours of light a day durring fruiting. how often are they getting air exchanges? if you don't have enough fresh air, light, humidity, and correct temp. then you slow down growth.

ah thank you. surprisingly ive never found any information saying it actually needs light to grow, and ive been doing research like a motherfucker. for the most part ive been told to keep it in the dark and only give it partial ambient light or something.
i was planning on enjoying the fruits of my labors tomorrow and going for my hardest trip yet but instead i have to see my girlfriend.

heat during fruiting will deffinitely slow your growth
you need to aim for 76degrees or lower, the closer to 86degrees you get the more you will be promoting mycelia growth versus fruiting
try moving it closer to the AC vent
