Fenceline Legality

The majority of the fields I hunt here in Florida have a fenceline facing the road, so now my thoughts turn to legality.
I know there is a certain distance from the road to a property, that is still in the public property domain. Most of the shrooms I find are on the fenceline anyways, so here is my question:
What is the exact distance from the road, that is still considered public property, preferably FL law?

I'd say the property line is the marker, wherever it may be across that is the land owned by the person, not the public, so I would avoid going over fences...at least when people can see you

yeah... if there is a fence, they think it is their property and they do not want you inside of it. Do not be seen.

well i think its 10 feet is considered partly GOVERNMENT/CITY property, so if they have to run power lines above or below, or pipes, gas, whatever they can dig up the 10 feet.. Atleast thats how it is with home property here.. In our backyard up to 10 feet... or maybe its 6... i dunno... But if we put a pool in the backyard near the fence and theyn eed to run wires or pipes, they can remove our pool and not have to pay a dime... Same iwth the front yard...

Alright, let me rephrase my question. If I walk down the outside of a fenceline (Road Side) am I Trespassing or am I in my legal rights to walk it?

I would say that is legal, but I'm not po and I don't know how they would feel about it, but if it was my yard...well first of all there wouldn't be many actives left to pick, and second, I'd totally be cool with it

Just don't look like a prowler, or don't be seen, and you should be fine.
I mean, what if you walked to work, and your route was along the fence? They couldn't bust ya for just walking.

I've never come across a cow pasture in Florida that did not have No Trespassing signs. Those signs mean stay the f away.
The land between the road and the fence is called the Right of Way, and like someone else suggested, property corners are usually about 10-20 feet out from the fences to the edge of pavement. The right of ways are often there for drainage ditches and also subsurface utilities.

I have received an answer the the Great One, I feel blessed. Big fan of your hunting guide man.
Amazingly enough though, none of the fields I hunt have no trespassing signs, but that still doesn't mean much in Florida, the state where you can shoot to kill, because you feel like it.
I hope you don't mind Greatone, but I had to add your reply in my signature.

Acutally, it's called easement. We cable guys (and other utility guys) have right of easment, meaning we can come onto your property to get to your utilities, without fear of repercussion (being charged with trespassing, for example). Of course, I'm very careful when I'm in someone's yard, so as not to get shot, and I try to get permission first, but I'm not above hopping a fence to get my job done.
That said, I don't trespass on farmland. If I had to get to a telephone pole and it was across a field, I might pick a couple of specimens and throw them in my toolbag, though. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm hopeful.

In California, the State's property interest in connection with State roads is called Right-of-Way.
I don't think it's illegal to walk along the road outside of the fence line. However, picking active mushrooms is illegal. If you arouse the suspicions of the owner and you are picking active mushrooms, it doesn't really matter whether you're trespassing.

I'm not really too concerned about the actives, I never find more than 20, 30 cubies in a night anyway. I guarentee I'd have all of em wharfed down before the cop tapped his brake. I was just more concerned about if walking the outside of a fenceline was considered Trespassing.
