saw them for the first time this weekend. I was impressed and when talking to afoaf about them, he recommended I check out some of their shows from 2003 and back, so I did and am loving this stuff
very groovy

I really like them too. They were the first band I saw on 5hits on syd. they were fucking amazing. And I saw them a few times again afterwards and they were great.
This was 2000 and I've seen them recently... And basically I feel they're getting old and attracting an older crowd. Before there were all young people, energetic hippies, plenty of dance space, and their jamming was top notch with energy to spare. Now I just feel overwhelmed by elderly and middle aged following they have. Idk, it's weird. And they havn't sounded the same either. something is totally missing.
But yeah, your friend is right about checking some of their old shows. If ya want some albums, pm me.

cracka: what he told me is that the girl and a guitar player were married, then divorced, he split the band, and they haven't sounded the same since; hence why he told me to go back a few years when it was still two guitars playing at a time. I think I'm going to stick with their live stuff as live music is almost always what I prefer, not to mention there a ton of shows on archive
jonny: saw them in bristol at the sunday afternoon set, just the last few songs

awesome sweet.
Yeah I remember hearing America for the first time and yeah it was amazing The whole show was aamazing.
I also really like Riddle of the Universe. There's more I know I like.
They came out with a new album and ehh, I wasn't blown away by it. sounded like some underachievement going on
