HELLO IN SEPTEMBER is fell a change in temperatures around here a bit colder, the sum , move in the horizont , and many others mushrroms that were slepp , awake now, one of this is my tyny little friend a inocybe, i have years finding, is really dificult to find this for it size and they may be posibly micorrizic so you have to find the tree host once you match all that and the date in the middle september , the host tree are oaks, with small leaves, querqus microfilla, laurina, etc, in very humid place with sand , in moss , most of the time , it had an interst aspect that show a bluing reaction i supose this to be active never try it but, hope someone can study this for the alkaloid content , here are some pictures

they grow in the moos and places with out vegetation in canopy area
the bluing is observed very strong cyano like in the base when is cut and soon change to black

this is a pin note the surface of the stem and cap and the bluing almost black now

spores are brown is a inocybe for sure

is the habitad many other inocybe thrive but are distinguish for the surface and the bluing reaction that is always , always present in this other inocybes in this picture are 2 inocybe inactive at right note the diference and how if you don´t look good can confuse then
hope you see the bluing i tell you in all individual presents, and is not something iam starting to see no , i see it every year, 4 now in many location sometime they get as big as a mexicana, but always show the blue-black reaction ,

eat it but a blue black reaction should be a very strong active shroom but the bluing reaction can also come from something other then psilocin.
Great pics as usual, you describe us the complete shroom season in Mexico

Cool! first time i see a bluing inocybe. I know that inocybe aeruginascens contains psilocin but i guess there must be more in the genus that are active. The weird thing is that i read that people that have bioessayed this species only had positive trips. A yet unidentified alkaloid was reported ' Aeruginascin ' that may contribute to this effect. (no scientific evidence to support this btw)

> A yet unidentified alkaloid was reported ' Aeruginascin ' that may contribute to this effect.
A good paper on aeruginascine, a trimethylammonium analogue of psilocybin was released at Albert Hofmann's 100th birthday party.
Read it here:
http://wwwuser.gwdg.de/~ucoc/laatsch/168_Aeruginascin_col.pdf
Synopsis: In nature, aeruginascine is only found in Inocybe aeruginascens. It shares the quaternary ammonium group with muscarine, a mycotoxin present in most other Inocybe species. Aeruginascine is unlikely to be psychoactive because it does not easily cross the blood brain barrier. Inocybe aeruginascens is widely distributed across central Europe and has also been reported in western north america.
p.s. Aeruginosa is latin for blue-green.
