getting late outdoor patches to fruit
    #7422749 - 09/18/07 08:50 AM (16 years, 4 months ago)

ok I have a few outdoor patches that have been in the ground for about a week. They were WBS>coir/cofee trays in aluminum breadloaf pans.... I buried them a bit and put some leaves over top... is there anythign I can do like putting a tarp over the patch or an upside down container to trap humidity and force them to fruit before it gets too cold?

thanks

you can tuck the bed in with a tarp, similar to the way you tuck in a child. Then, take a knife and cut X's in the tarp about every four inches in every direction, making the X's about an inch both ways. The tarp will retain humidity/temp, the X's will allow FAE, and this is also where the mushrooms will pop up.
