think i could use the grinds right out of the machine? there allready hot in there. I dont plan on steralizing the coir cause i heard it dosent matter much, just a slightly better chance of contam

ummm yea dont know where you read that but how bout this opinion..
by Oatman2000 in the grow log.. I would add coffee grounds to the substrate...
I have noticed small spots of Trich on about 3 casings... Seems maybee i should have pasturized it. (catching up to me)
but other than that the casing look like they are older then they should look. (more depleted)
(possibly maybee a dunk might help this... but i'm not gonna.
I have poo going in soon... mixing up casing now.
definitly want to PASTUERIZE NOT STERILIZE

Yep, add the spent grounds to the expanded coir, and then pasteurize.

I put 6 cups coir 1 cup coffee grounds and 1/2 cup gypsum into a tupperware bowl. Mix in water to a little over field capacity, snap on the lid and toss it in the nuker.
5 minutes on high let sit 5 minutes 5 more minutes on high let sit 5 more minutes dump into spawn tray, cover and let cool spawn and recover to colonize.
