I've fallen in love with the new Mushroom HuntR 3082 Exploding Device. I always carry several of these with me on my forays into the great outdoors. One, serious about their mushroom ecosystems, should always set these up around their perimeter. They prevent nosy hunters from discovering your patches, and protect you from pesky deer and rabbits.
Another great tool to have is the wonderful, Dirtymushroom Bomb 2012. These lovely little gems can easily be lit with a small torch, and upon exploding emit copious amounts of toxic gasses. Don't want people finding your patch? Destroy those nosy poachers, and contaminate the entire ecosystem, after you've picked it clean, with the Dirtymushroom Bomb 2012!
 Also, never forget the booze.
And of course, water, scissors, and all that other bullshit.

what??????? i hope all of you people sayinmg you bring booze/other drinks take the empty containers with you. if theres one thing that really pisses me off its hunting in a field full of litter from other hunters. that just shows you have no respect for the field. that is also the main reason farmers want to kill mushroom hunters, they litter everywhere!

I highly doubt the majority of the people who are dedicated on this forum litter. lol. I actually bring a trashbag with me when I go to my favorite spot. Its the place in the woods where all the edible and inactives grow. lol

At one of my favorite ares there are pieces of skeet everywhere, from when they used to allow shooting. We removed a lot of it last fall. Everyone who loves an area which also has a litter problem should definitely help pack that shit out. It's an awesome thing to do.

I would like to say .. I hate litter and hate when I go to the local park for a hunt, then see plastic on the ground as if it belongs... the bad thing is a trash can is near by ...
I found a great spot to hunt yesterday while biking ..as I walked thru the deep woods smoking my last bowl, I started to notice more trash/litter then mushrooms ..It made me upset when i would see something of intrest ..make my way to it then it be a buried piece of plastic or metal I will go so far as to carry whatever I find that is not acceptable to a near by trash can
Fucking lazy humans If anything do carry a trash bag with you so not only are you doing something fun ,you're also doing something good for this planet ....picking up other peoples trash is not cool but it helps nature and makes one a better person ..

amen to those who bring a trash bag not for you really but for others people.
there was a time when i fell like i will no look at trash since once i look at it i have to take it away from the forest. but you can deny the voice tell you pick it , pick it , help me ......
when you see trash in the nature and you fell obligated to pick it , i guess we are getting in tune with nature , you understand it, is a crazy felling that some time bring tear to me , but now i see we are not alone, is always been like this for century's , the one to destroy and the ones to create..... but some can rule the earth , more than others ......
i like to sleep in the forest ,so a good sleep gear is necessary and to protect you from rain. water very essential, food and a lighter or a few . a knife and camera battery researchable better . paper and books and if you can a car maps if is a new location. hat or sumblock i guees now will cool to add a microscope and spend days in the forest, o a car sometimes is very essential to carry all you can take with you . a computer to be online at night all the best gear

birth bark works just as good, used it many of times. besides, i just bring a nice knife, camera, cannabis, sometimes some binoculars, and some water.
In my opinion, the best choice for the purpose would be moss. Not only it is softer and more absorptive, it also has antiseptic properties

scissors. a small cardboard box of a food product usually, seems less suspicious than a wet paper bag, to me. and a camera sometimes.
