what happens if your humidity in a casing chamber is in the 90's like a cake will it ruin it. and can you still use perlite for a casing, just less or more holes, and how much is a humidity guage that would be woth the money

RH in the 90's is GOOD for cased substrates, so it certainly won't ruin it.
I'm not sure what you are asking about "using perlite for a casing". Do you mean in the casing layer or as a source of humidity?

My humidity for my grow that i just harvested was in the upper 90s and I have a good dry ounce from one 1x1ft casing so no, it won't ruin it. You put the perlite in your fc the same way you would for cakes. More holes=less humidity and more fresh air so for casings its the way to go if you don't have a greenhouse or humidification system. You can buy a cheap hygrometer online (analog ((the only way to go))) for like 5 bucks. Just check out cigar websites and shops.

ooo ok and i was reading the tek on casings and wasnt clear on this. so after my rye jars are done i should crumble it on my wet verm then put the 50/50 on top and put it in the fruiting chamber or back in the incubator? also if i buy pre-sterilized casing substrate how long will it stay sterile as long as i keep the bag air tight and melt the opening together every time i use it.

A bag of sterile anything is no longer sterile once you use it.
You have the idea right, although I see no advantages in the bottom verm layer. Also I recommend you leave the tray covered with aluminum foil at room temp for a few days after casing. Give the myc 2-3 days to poke through the casing layer, patch, and into the fruiting chamber.

no iwas saying after you make the casing you need to put it in the incubater until it is fully colonized? the 50/50 tek to me sounds like you prepare the casing then put it right in the fruiting chamber. i was a little confused.

2-3 days at room temp to colonize the casing layer is the answer. I'm anti-incubator. They've never helped me grow anything but bacteria.
