brf/verm whoes...

so about a month ago i had 12 beautiful brf/verm cakes that i did everything perfect to. birthed them about 1 week after they were fully colonized, dunked and rolled them and put them in my "shotgun" fc where i had 4-5" of rinsed drained perlite. and my humidity stayed in the upper 90's with 12 on 12 off light cycles, everything perfect like i said . i misted about 3 times a day and fanned right after. and i had no signs of pins even after 1 month. so i screwed up and tryed to case them and wrecked everything.
but my point is nothing happened after 1 month. and now i have 16 more little guys ready to go in the fc in a week or so and just wondering what you guys think i did wrong in the fc? was i just not patient enough. ive read on hear of people getting pins 2 days after they introduce to fruiting conditions. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Are you positive of your spore source? If I had to guess I would say that you were given a Pan Cyan syringe, or possibly some mushroom that requires a cold shock to fruit. While its possible that they could take that long, I don't think its too likely. You sound like you know what you are doing, so I don't think its a problem with your setup, possibly its too cold? Thats the only thing I can think of.

misting perhaps dont mist the cakes or get water on them its bad for the mycellium also this isnt the problem but it is unessessary to put that much perlite in your tub. even a big one try putting half to one inch wet then on top of that put half to one inch dry trust me!!!!!!!

no im not 100% positive about my spores, and thats what i was thinking also. but this time around i made my own syringe to remove that varible... i dont think temp was an issue it was in the 70's in my fc that whole time i was trying to fruit them. hopefully they were bogus spores and this time around i get somewhere...

i dnt mist them directly ever, i mist up in the air and let the mist rain down on them and only a few squirts at a time. and i was always told 3-5" of perlite...

I think you went right in the perlite! there is not to much RH and is not that you had them sitting in water!

You need to mist them more than that. Spraying the cakes directly is perfectly fine. Newbs tend to get paranoid. Try piling some vermiculite on top of each of the cakes and keeping that totally saturated. I had the same problem as you my first grow and that worked out fine for me.
