My new Salvia

Alright so I got a cutting in the mail today but it is in bad condition like everything that comes in the mail. Right now it is in a cup with no holes at the bottom and in a humidity dome where my Kratom was. Should I mist it every day until it recovers? I know to only water it every few days or when the soil is dry. The humidity dome a good idea? Should I make holes in the cup for drainage? Direct sun light bad?

Message the guy you got it from and try to imitate what kind of conditions it was in before would probably be the best bet (With mine i took an inside plant in direct sunlight outside which fried it up). I would make the holes for drainage.

OK so you got a salvia plant or a cutting??
plz give more details,
"in a cup" is there water in the cup soil, nothing?? the reason i ask is you say when the soil drys but if it has no roots then i suggest taking it out of the soil and putting it in a cup with water, also if it is in soil then with out a doubt it should have drainage holes or you will get root rot for sure if you over water.
humidity dome is a good idea

I know there are a thousand threads on this so sorry for making a new one. To let everyone know I have done my research on growing salvia divinorum. I don't know if I should mist or not, it has roots and is a foam cup with no holes. Right now the humidity dome might not be as humid as the the bag so could I just mist it down a bit and take it out of the windowsill? I do understand there is a over watering problem people experience with salvia and the soil is moist already.

poke a few holes in the bottom and let the soil almost dry before watering again, it should be fine if you mist the inside of the bag then place it back over the plant, it wont hurt to mist the plant once a day but i have had leaf rot from having a wet bag stuck against the wet leafs.
also i would let it recover before you place in the direct sunlight

Yea it sounds like Salvia is pretty basic from what I hear so I decide to give it a shot. Should I remove any blackened leafs right now? There are a few that look like they might have leaf rot.

Could you get a pic of the leaves? If its minor im sure you could jsut cut the black part off with scissors. <-- someone correct me if im wrong.
