You mean your mycelium is strandy or what is called rhizomorph growth. This is good, is signals that the mycelium is strong and is probbably a vigourous strain.

Does it look like this?

This is an Amazonian strain from Bio's page. Just given credit where credit is due :uploads/rhizoagar.jpg

Cubensis mycelium, reagardless of species should be rhizomorphic (ropey strands) to linear (straigt line filaments). Rhyzomorphic mycelium has been identified as the most likely to form primordia. If yours looks like BIO's your set.

Well.., no. Cubensis mycelia can be cottony, or ropey or whatever. I've seen all types, and it's not necessarily indicative of the quality of the strain. For instance, the best cube in terms of rhizomorphic growth in my library is Mazopatec, yet everytime the Ecuador out produces it. Not that my Ecuadorian strain is cottony, but it isn't rhizomorphic either, more linear. Some of the older strains I was dealing with were on the other hand by all accounts cottony, and they produced, though alltogether not as well.
