Spotlights in clouds
    #7417402 - 09/16/07 06:05 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Has anyone ever witnessed this? I live in Ga and for the past two summers every time a storm rolls in or the sun starts to go down, i've witnessed multiple spotlights beaming out of the clouds, moving at different speeds and patterns. Does anyone have an explanation for what this could be?

I have seen spotlights shun onto the clouds before, but I think it was just for an event; They did that weird moving around in big circle thing.

I think I see them too, inly that, from what I know, they're called "floaters"

Gathering energy from the clouds?
And what kind of energy did they use on their way to Earth?
Cause obviously clouds are out of the question

Just b/c they gather energy from storm clouds doesnt mean that those clouds are the only source of energy, maybe just an easy source of energy. And as far as floaters go i assure you the problem isnt in my vision. They are just like the spot lights used in events, instead of coming from the ground to the clouds, it's vice versa. But the lights dont hit the ground, they shoot straight out of the cloud like a lighthouse. Im gonna my video cam and try to be there when it happens again.

Spotlights on clouds are amazingly caused by: *drumroll please* spotlights on clouds!

I am fairly sure they are coming from the ground, not from the clouds. I live in Toronto and they have these on a lot.

If there is an event in my small town i can usually drive around until i physically see the lights. i love how people assume that i have no idea what im seeing. I didnt post this b/c ive never seen spotlights before. It's the fact that they are beaming out of large clouds that needs to be explained.

I saw that once after a storm in san diego. I could have sworn a glowing energy ball was going to make itself present. 'say la vi said the old folks goes to show you never can tell'

What do you mean 20 miles from here? You dont even know where i live. Unless for some reason you do?

I think he was referring to the place where he lives... which is 20 mile away from an airport. Or that's what I gather from what he said :smirk:

i thought it could be a plane, but they pretty much stay within the cloud. You never actually see a craft of any kind.

I've seen this once before its a strange phenomenon. The same San Diego situation I mentioned earlier. It was over the ocean after the sun went below the horizon of the water, a dark storm cloud was leaving after a rain. The cloud was dark and black with traces of orange and purple left around the edges from the sunset. And in the middle glowing extremely bright white in two places. I thought for sure some sort of celestial object was in there.  You never can tell  Well some times you can tell, sometimes its a glowing energy orb.

I saw 2 of them right when I was driving thru my neighborhood. That was around like 5pm. That night we had lightning every few seconds.

Don't know if you guys are still talking on this subject but I know what your talking about ts. I've seen the same stuff but it wasn't when a storm was brewing it was just cloudy. I was probably 12 years old and my sister who was 18 and my mother were with me. It was directly above my house, and the clouds were really low. I could hear a humming noise coming from above us as well . We all saw it. It looked like spot lights but they were shining down instead of up, and they were shining on us, they were moving around in quick motions between each other and there were smaller lights that stayed stationary as the others moved all around. twisting, yada yada.

I don't think your crazy.. If you are, my whole family is.
