Fruited this cake. Good to eat?

What do you think guys? Is this contam?
I fruited this cake. As you can tell it has some weird growth (possibly metabolites?). The myc growth on the cake stalled, and i went ahead and fruited even though there was a small patch of exposed brf/verm. A fairly good set of pins are just starting to show. If this baby produces decent looking shrooms, should they be safe to consume?
PS. I have about 4 other jars that showed similar growth, but they're still incubating. Incubating at 80 deg rather than 84 deg ! Anyway, I would appreciate ANYONE's opinion. Thank you.

If it produces healthy mushrooms, they're safe to eat. RR

Incubation is not really necessary, and can harbor bacteria... But, if the cake smells like mushrooms, it is probably fine. It looks alright to me.
Fruits from a contaminated cake are fine to consume.

My ways of growing edibles started with your DVD you rock
Anyways, do what he said and try to grow them, then tell if their contaminated. If you have a way of isolating the cake by itself then try that, even though mycelium can sometimes be strong enough to shield itself from some contams.

Just an update . . . This cake still has not fruited, yet the other ones (2 different delicious strains) have. I'm throwing it in the back of my closet. Maybe something will come of it.
But really, it doesn't have "that smell". And as you guys know, that's a serious indicator that it's contaminated. Good thing I kept that baby in a poor mans terrarium. BTW, an easy way to make one is to use a gallon size distilled water jug (the more narrow ones). Cut it off at the top and throw a ziplock disposable tupperwear bottom over it. Fit's perfect.
ALSO...
The other cakes... They have spots of what looks like to be contamination (although the fruits look great!). What techniques do you suggest for the second flush. Should I dunk and roll again? Should I dunk individually?
