The Warriors The Outsiders Conan The Barbarian Clash of the Titans Waking Life A Scanner Darkly ( not sure about the cult status)

I, also, don't know what qualifies something as cult.
Like, would Trainspotting be cult? Requiem for a Dream? What constitutes something being a cult flick?

From Wikipedia, FWIW:
Cult film is a colloquial term for a film that has acquired a highly devoted but relatively small group of fans. Often, cult movies have failed to achieve fame outside of this small group (however, there are a few exceptions.) Some cult movies have gone on to transcend their original cult status and have become recognized as classics, others are of the "so bad it's good" variety, and are destined to remain in obscurity. Cult films often become the source of a thriving, obsessive, and elaborate subculture of fandom, hence the analogy to cults. However, not every film with a rabid fanbase is necessarily a cult film. The term cult film implies a certain level of obscurity, and widely popular, mainstream movies are not considered to be cult films.
I would rule out Trainspotting and Requiem

I consider a cult movie to be something that is not very popular and yet has its own hardcore fan base. Not many people know about the movie...it takes a select few to REALLY enjoy it.(others may think it 'dumb'.) When you put on that cult classic, you get that warm feeling inside. You laugh at those lines over and over. The movie doesn't loose any value when you watch it time and time again. They can be those 'so bad its good' or they can be something that truly is a good movie and it just never caught on in mainstream. Another test is if you pull apart the movie script and use it to communicate with fellow fans.
There always exceptions to the rules. But for the most part, that's what a cult classic is.

I didn't think Requiem for a Dream would apply, but why doesn't Trainspotters? Seems to be popular amongst the drug users, and I didn't think it was that popular. What about Pulp Fiction? Obviously it's hugely popular, but it seems there are people, like myself, who enjoy that move on a whole different level than the average viewer. Kind of like Rocky Horror, everyone knows what that is, but it's still kind of the cult staple if you will.

Oh yeah, you can still have a popular movie gain cult status among its fans. Pulp Fiction is a perfect example. Its known generally as a really good movie. But it take a certain type to really fall in love with it. Thus, cult status!
