Hello all, hope you're doing well. Recently I pinched a nerve in my neck, or did something to my neck, which caused a giant knot to return in my neck. I have minor sculliosis which causes my spine to curve to the left which is how the knot originally formed but it was mostly gone after many visits to the physical therapist. The knot is so big it's putting the rest of my body out of balance and causing tension all over my body, resulting in large knots of tension all over my body - my back is like one giant knot.
I was thinking about acupuncture but I've heard mixed things and since I don't really trust researching on google I was hoping to get some personal opinions, if anyone has gotten acupuncture or if a relative got acupuncture. It's really a pain living like this, it's like having a migraine and being totally on edge all the time. I go to a sort of physical therapist once a week but he costs too much to keep going and I know there must be a faster way to heal.
Thank you for any responses! -EternalCowabunga

Someone was just telling me a few days ago how they had gone to try accupunture recently, and how much they loved it. I'm not sure exactly what they had gone in for, but they said it was a very interesting experience and that they did feel better when they left.
I'm interested in it myself. I'd say go ahead and try it at a place you trust.

My friend has scoliosis and he swears by his chiropractor. if you go to a good one they will be able to tell which muscle groups are sore before taking an EMG, and apply pressure accordingly.

Well, my brother told me his boss at work knows a place that will give me free acupuncture, I don't know what the catch is but I'm going to give it a try. If I can't get relief from acupuncture I will have to try a chiropractor. I'm pretty much ready to try anything and spend the money I've saved up.

it works great on my lower back, and my knee. when she did my pain in my knee she did alot of puncture too my upper thigh, that when done with the first session almost instantly releaved all the pain my knee. it may be a wee bit pricey but its a hell of a lot cheaper then silly Rx's and scandalice doctors.
