Please help w/ Ryche's Magic Formula

Mycellia quickly grew around the edges of my jars, then showed no signs of continued growth for about a week. When I try to shake the jars, the portion of the grain around the edge that has mycellium grown into it will not break free and shake with the rest of the grain, and I really shook the hell out of them. Its like the grain has solidified or turned into gum or something. This is my first time growing with birdseed... Is this normal or did I screw something up? btw - the jars with this problem are Lipa Yai, and I have jars from the same batch of seed using Eq's that are progressing very well.

try beating jar where mycelium is stuck on side of table.

shaking doesn't want to get some stuff off.

well maybe just kinda tap it first.

are these birdseed?

a whole week with no growth?
