weird heart problem trip!

well a couple months ago me and a friend were tripping and we ate a little over an eighth each. im a very experienced tripper, probably had close to a hundred trips in my life. anyways back to the point we were tripping watching south park having fun and all of a sudden i had a weird uncomfortable feeling in my heart. i just let it go thinking it was just my imagination but it grew worse and i started to get worried. i told my friend it hurt and since we were tripping he started getting really worried and all. so i layed down on my bed for about 5 minutes and all of a sudden my heart got the sensation of being squeezed very very tightly. i thought i was about to die because ive never felt anything like it before. it would last a couple seconds and come back about every few minutes. this lasted for about twenty minutes and then stopped but my heart still had the uncomfortable feeling so i was still kind freaking out wondering if it was going to happen again. luckily it didnt but ever since that night ive been terrified to do shrooms again and i love them with all my heart there my favorite of all drugs. but i really wanna know what was going on before i try doing them again. if anyone has any advice or knows what was going on i would really be inspired to know. thank you for the support. much love.

You should definitely get checked out for heart problems. I would find it very heard to believe that the shrooms directly caused it, but they might have triggered an inert emotion that sped up your heart rate which conflicted with a possible preexisting condition. Tell your parent or guardian (If you're still living with them) about the sensations your felt in your chest. You don't have to say anything about shrooms to anyone, not even the doctor. Just describe what you felt to them. Heart disease and general genetic heart disorders are very, VERY common in this country. If there was anything really happening in your chest that night, the doctor will be able to tell by watching what your heart is doing now, he knows what to look for. If you get a clean bill of cardiac health, then you may just chalk it up to hallucinating the whole ordeal. And don't worry about mushrooms showing up in your system. They won't, guaranteed. Unless you give them reason to suspect, then they can order a special test to detect enzymes in the liver that are only active in the presence of psilocin.
In conclusion, please get your heart checked, you could have a latent problem.

Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. If you're naked, the willow considers it to be sex. It will orgasm on your mind and you will blow dream chunks into outer space. All very fun until your neighbor sees you. -The Joekenorer

thanks for the advice and also by the way i was doing a lot of cocaine that past month so i was wondering if that would be an interaction with the whole ordeal also.

Yeah, cocaine can cause palpitations even after its well out of your system. Sort of like muscle memory, it just does it on its own. I would definitely be suspect of the coke use, but would still get it checked out.

Cocaine kills heart tissue on contact, so using it at all is a bad idea. As someone who once let cocaine get a hold on me, I'll be the first to say, that yeah, it's incredibly bad for you.
Be safe with it, know your limits, and don't ever let a stupid little white powder get the better of you.

It makes you feel happy, but a drug shouldn't do that for you, you should learn to do it for yourself. Drugs shouldn't be used to improve your life, just your perspective. You should improve your life on your own.
Sorry, I had to rant about that for a second.

Good to hear your opinion on the matter. Well, I think that it probably is true that the coke is doing something here and affecting the trip and your body in a negative way.
I think once you are free of it for some time, that you should have no problems, and your trips will be a little less prone to such a scary feeling.

I always wanted to know why in the world any would try drugs like coke, meth, heroin, and "ghetto" drugs(no offense) Why not stick to the hemp, salvia, and physchedelics. There the only ones that really give you an expanded mind and/ or new perspectrive...right? Sorry if i seem like an ass.
-------------------- This website is pretty cool. I am new to mushroom and really suck at identificicatin but i am hoping that you guys can help me!

From the subject line I was all ready to talk about anxiety/panic problems but after reading the posts and having experienced both anxiety/panic and actual heart related problems I suggest you get it checked. I'm guessing it's an aggravation from your physiology and the recent coke use amplified by the shrooms. Something that will ease up with abstinence or reduction but may have an underlying root and will sooner or later resurface as well. Maybe not. Get it checked.

coke is just a short circuit for the pleasure center and meantime it jacks your sympathetic nervous system, which is a stress for the heart in general.
mostly with psychedelic, pain around the heart area is gut related, even really scary pain mostly passes with peristalsis and gas.
however. a person can psych themselves into even worse tension from fear of heart attack which is really gas and then they could actually croak from anxiety over the heart attack which was nothing more than cramps and gas.
sit on the toilet and relax the tension. if it really is a heart attack do this cough every 5 seconds, which creates a good heart massage, and call an ambulance, keep coughing and don't freak out.
we actually loose more people who have to fart, that scare themselves to death thinking it is much worse, and then they croak from the fear or an actual heart attack when really they just need to fart.
really coughing every 5 seconds will do the trick until help comes if you actually are having a heart attack, and it reduces panic.

Well, I specialize in the heart. No, not the valentine's crap type heart. I've poked, prodded, dissected, done cpr, shocked, opened up coronary arteries. I know the heart backwards and forwards.
The youngest person I have known to have a heart attack that I examined. Age 19 from mdma. Man his pupils in the ER were like saucers lol. It was reported in the news. He was like "dont do drugs or you could end up like me!!".
The next youngest was a 23 year old kid in Portland, Obese, diabetic and with congenitally small coronary artery anatomy. He was having open heart bypass surgery and I was there to assist.
I have seen MANY young people at about the age of 30 who were chronic smokers have their first heart attack. So many that I quit smoking (it was only on roadtrips but still). Smoking plus family history equals fugged up heart coronary arteries.
Here is what you should do. Talk to your primary care physcian, leave out the part about drugs b/c you dont want that on your medical insurance bureau. Just tell them the symptopms you had and how it has affected your life, be it curtailing activities such as going to the gym (which you should be getting an hour/six days a week for maximum heart health) and that you need to know.
Inisist on some sort of stress testing with imaging. Cheapest is stress echocardiogram, then there are nuclear test about 3 x as expensive and about 20 x more expensive is an angiogram which is the gold standard. Where they insert a catheter up your femoral artery which is flexible and run it directly into the arteries of your heart. Injuect iodine and then take an xray digital movie of the filling up of the vessels. Any narrowings can be seen well.
Thing is, not much can be done with it except knowing it. You can stent it, depending. But really you treat it with medicine. Going on lipitor or a stating. BTW, there are four drugs that prevent heart attacks. So if you fail a stress test, you damn sure should be on those four meds.
Look, as you can see, you can get as complicated as you want, it may be merely a bad trip. And shrooms have a way of playing tricks on one's mind.
But now that you are worried go get checked out. A basic stress test simply takes the heart out for a "test drive". If you give it gas and it goes mwahhh, instead of wawwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Then, you may have a clog in your fuel lines.
As you go from 20 to 30 to 40 to 50 and beyond, the growths in the arteries get larger. Also, which doesnt sound like you> There are electrical disturbances as well such as Long Qt syndrome, which can kill in an instant. Add cocaine and it's deadly, even cold medicine.
Also, cocaine does not kill heart tissue instantly, that simply is not true. But it does SIGNIFICANTLY spasm the coronary arteries. Meaning, a small administration of cocaine will cause a spasm limiing bloodflow, meaning the muscle downstream gets irritated and can cause an irregular deadly heart rhythm. THis is moreso true for people who have preexisting growths or obstructions in their coronary arteries.
So dont do cocaine.
Mushrooms are benign in comparison. Get a stress test and talk to your physician, leave out the drug use part b/c if you ever have to sue or dispute insurance or a car accident. They'll pull up that information and all your medical records and the attorneys on the other side have full access to it, if you use medical insurance.
So be smart. Relay the complaint, leave out the benighn mushroom thing. Which, you did not give age, history or anything actually useful to comment on your risk factor. But you can look it up yourself under the Framingham study and calclute your score as far as how you fare on whether you have a high, medium or low risk of having a fatal cardiac event in the next five years.
Peace, hope that helps.

Have you ever had acid reflux?
The shrooms are known to cause digestive problems... bad acid reflux can feel like a pretty severe heart spasm sometimes... and trippin I would imagine would make this pretty unbearable.

I always got bad indigestion and acid reflux after eating fresh cubes, but when I eat them dried I don't. I think it's the sheer quantity of fungal moisture in a fresh shroom that fucks up your digestive system.
