How well do you inhabit your body?

Do you keep an intense presence in your inner being at all times? Or are you usually more or less unconscious of the physical responses of your body to your emotions and thoughts? Do you have a general sense of anxiety and unease right now, or are you comfortably at home in yourself, in the now?

Okay, but that doesn't really answer my question. Are you inhabiting your body right now? Do you feel a sense of great inner spaciousness and a sense of stillness from within, or is there vague unease, or a feeling of physical discomfort related to negative thinking/emoting? How would you describe your state of being at this moment, and is it more or less the norm?

i know what you're talking about.
generally i just kind of inefficiently give my body instructions, and it reports back where its uncomfortable or touching something.
i used to practice being more in touch with my body with good success, but it requires alot of physical activity to maintain (rather than sitting at a computer all the time)

I don't know. Physical activity definitely helps a LOT, and things like yoga, meditation, and deep breathing. In general, though, all it really requires is the willigness to flood your body with consciousness, which you can do while at your computer if you don't get distracted.

i ts 50/50 for me... i try to keep my mind and body centered but its not always easy to do with anxiety and other of life's problems. I have a higher awareness of things, whether it be bad or good. But to answer your question... I make the best use out of what I got.

In what way?
Is it something that fasting, cleansing, and a radical change in diet couldn't fix?

fearfect, that was so interesting. i feel like i have another me "in back" of me too. several, but i assume you're talking about the dark one...
i maybe shouldn't be giving advice, because its defintely leaking through to the front these days, but back in the day i would stare at myself in the mirror and talk to it (mentally, it would communicate through facial expressions and self-telepathy). i was never able to compromise, but i was able to "merge" of sorts. the key thing is no matter what it threatens or implies, the part talking to it holds the power, if you so desired you could sit there and argue and plead with it all day, it has no ultimate power over you.
i don't remember how the process of merging worked. basically i just kept looking at it and talking to it till it was no longer there, only i was there.
this was not through fighting and resistance though, that never got me anywhere like i said.

nope, i cant put a label on it, and because i cant put a label on it (like the guy that just said he had cancer did) no one realizes how bad it actually is either. but i wouldnt want to talk about it anyway, its ruined everything in my life. and this is too much to be saying anyway. oh and its not that i dont want a label, i would love a label, but the physical pain and the causation and action behind it is complex and unknown. fuck, i am not doing this again. i remember every time why i dont talk about this.

Yah, I try to constantly stay in the now. "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle helped. I live to feel and embrace my being.
