regarding backpressure problems with a coolmist, i am using 5/8 tubing, if i had 3 of these tubes around 4,3,and 2 feet long, would i experience coolmist failure quickly? can you have to many tubes to a coolmist? (that last question seems dumb)

I simply have a circulatory system. Seems to work great in eliminating static pressure and burning out the cool-mists.

Note that the return hose is still mixing with fresh air in the intake. I also have one inside the chamber on a timer. Once the internal one bumps the RH up, the external one can maintain it for several hours.

The kind of coolmist in the photo can't be burned out by back pressure at all, its just a spinning impeller in a pool of water. The original poster might be referring to an ultrasonic humidifier perhaps. "Coolmist" has a very loose meaning. IMHO ultrasonics are way too much for this, the type in the picture is perfect.

Actually, the spinning disk type humidiers burn out from the static pressure. The problem is that it forces moisture into the motor bushings, ruining them. I've used up to a 2" PVC pipe leaving the humidifiers and still had them burn up within two months. By leaving them inside the greenhouse, they last a year or more. RR

Why use a $30 humidifier for air exchange when you can simply cut a window in the plastic? If you need forced air, you can get a computer fan for a few dollars that will last far longer than the dry coolmist. RR
