First timer - need advice

Hello. I inoculated some jars using the pf-tek for dummies. Made my own syringe and all, I put the jars in the dark at 27 degrees C. I got the mycelium, and no contaminants, everything seemed ok. BUT I inoculated the jars on the 3rd of august and STILL they are not fully colonized. Some of them have the bottom uncolonized, others even parts on the sides. In the last week the temperature dropped to about 25 degrees, but I read that's not a problem. Also the mycelium growth is very slow now, I think. Should I worry?

likely moisture content was off if the bottoms aren't colonizing, if they stop growing you can cut off the uncolonized section and birth them, although many will recommend against it, i've done it many times.

It happens to us all. Try placing the jars upside down for a couple days and check for growth. I believe moisture and/or CO2 gets trapped down there sometimes. Its helped my stalled cakes.

I don't know what to say about moisture. There are water droplets on the sides of the jars. I'll try the upside down method. Thanks for the advice, guys.

if you have tape and/or foil on your jars, take it off. Your jars need gas exchange to grow. Also, flip your jars upside down to speed things up.
