Need Some Advice On Drying My Own Cactus

I have quite a few foot long pedro cuttings, and am wanting to get some dried powder to perform an A/B extraction.
1. Does anyone have advice on drying the cactus?
2. Would it be best to save just the inner flesh, or use all of the cactus in the extraction? I realize the entire cactus supposedly contains mescaline, but is it worth all that extra volume?
3. Anyone know the wet/dry weight ratio?
I've UTFSA and searched Google, btw.
Thanks guys

Not true its only the layer between the outer skin and the inner core that contains mescaline you should use a potato pealer and peal it the dry the strips in the oven and grind into powder

Don't cut off the spines whether doing A/B or tea.
1. Cut into slices. 2. Remove the inner core. 3. Dry in an oven or food dehydrator at low setting.
Can't remember percentages off the top of my head. 250gr. dried skins is generally 1-3 gr. mesc hcl.

If you're making tea then throw it in the pot, but for A/B you want only the more potent pieces.

When making tea they soften up to the point of being harmless, I suppose if one really wants to cut them off then go for it.

Hey thanks for the tips everyone. I'm not concerned with making tea, so I went a head and saved everything except the core. I just chopped off big cucumber shaped ribs, and blended those in a blender (had to add a little bit of water to start the blending). I am going to evap all the resulting slurry and crumble the remains.
By the way, does anyone know what flesh is used when people typically talk about cactus "powder"? Is it usually only the dark flesh just under the skin, or is it the light and dark flesh together? I'm just trying to calculate my A/B yields.
Thanks!
