Go around looking on websites that sell gold, and find out which one costs the most. Guild wars is around 50 usd a mil. While runescape is 5 dollars a mil. WoW is probably up there with Guild wars.

There was one that was free to play but used a currency that you could convert back and forth between ingame money and real life money, and you would buy/sell in-game goods and could potentially make some real money off it... I forget what it was called though... And it was hella boring. But supposedly a few people made thousands of dollars on it and paid upwards of 100k real cash for virtual houses on it...
I'd imagine you'd have to dedicate pretty much every waking minute of your life and a shit-load of startup cash in order to make any profit at all though

diablo2 hasn't been viable as a source of money for years.
most MMORPGs are farmed by chinese young men that get paid about $150 for a month of 12-hour work days.
do you seriously think you can compete with them?

Secondlife is coming up pretty strong. Even though it is the dumbest waste of time, it is one of the fastest growing MMO's. The catch is that you have to be innovative and find one thing that can make your land or property something people will spend money on. Just the other day, I heard about someone making a golf course on there.

WoW is your best bet IMO I would sell the account though, not just the currency itself.
