OK Ive heard and gathered a lot of info about liberty caps but still have a few questions left, any help welcome. 1.Do liberty caps have to grow in COW pastures or is any cattle pasture OK? 2.Does in have to be grass fertilized by dung or is tall, healthy grass OK? 3.what is the best way to store liberty caps short term?(I heard heat and light greatly lowers potency)
Thanks to anyone who has any advice on those matters, peace.

1. Grazing animals such as cattle and sheep do not need to be living in the field, for Ps. semilanceata to grow.... However, they seem to prefer these pastures.
2. No, the dung helps, but is not necessary.
3. If you are going to consume them within a few days (no longer than a week), keep them wrapped in a paper towel or tissue, and put in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge. Normally, i would suggest a paper bag, however, small mushrooms like these will dry out too quickly in a paper bag. Wrap them in tissue to prevent the condensation inside the plastic bag from rotting the mushrooms.
For longer storage, dry them completely without heat, and store in a plastic bag. You want them "cracker dry".
