Is it ALL about the Set?

Is setting equally important for the psychedelic experience, or perhaps the most insightful, fluid, beautiful, organic, trips happen because of a type of ideal mindset.
This also applies to wether there are people in the area, friends and//or strangers.
For me, less and less is setting an important factor. I "learn" as much from tripping at a festival, as I do alone, as I do with friends. Carefully planed settings can add their own input, that is special, however, I say I'm crazy because it is all in my head.
Set or settting: 50/50, or another ratio?

Id give it less to the mindset 30/70. Most of time my mindset is completely changed during experience. But it is still important id like to feel comfortable with doing it. But where you are usually effects you more sharply.

I think setting has more effect on how the trip plays out than set, but it's harder to get set just right.

my favorite kind of trips are the ones that happen completely on a whim. like i get a call on a friday night when i was just planning to hang out and drink some beers saying that mushrooms or acid is available and i'm there. my best and most insane mushroom trip happened when i got a call around 12 midnight after my friend and i had just put down a rack (30 beers) saying that amazing mushrooms were around. my friend and i finished our last beer and went to the spot and picked up an eighth each. we were instructed to take half for a nice strong trip, i being the hardhead respectfully declined and washed down the full eighth with sunny-d, as did my friend who had never eaten boomers in his life LOL. what insued was the craziest and most intense mushroom trip of my life. the best part was standing next to a row of trees and watching the leaves go through every stage of the seasons in a loop. i watched them turn from a bright green, to darker, brown and yellow, and finally dry up and fall away only for new leaves to sprout and the same process happen over and over. also everywhere we went there were black cadillacs driving in the road every few minutes. wild wild stuff

in this situation, i'll admit i had a great mindset, just because any time i get the GIFT of being able to consume the magic mushroom i am grateful for the experience. but the setting was far from ideal, just a plain old dorm room and the surrounding area (THE BRONX haha). at times i was scared for my life, but hands down best trip ever

Most of the time, my usual mindset or logic suffices at any setting and to me the trip itself IS a setting.
That is why I feel so comfortable tripping. no matter where. Well maybe not hogtied in a trunk but you get the idea. It is almost like I have been there before. In some ways, I want to drink Aya to see if it has any familiarity to me.
