I want to say thanks to all of the people on this forum who have worked so hard hunting and posting pics and IDs. It is due to the Shroomery that I have learned a new hobby. I thought I lived in an area that had no native actives. But wait... Subbs !!!!! Today I found a great patch. Over half of them turned a beautiful blue at the base. I believe even more would have blued had I not broken the stems on them while picking. I am sure these will be quite active. Now I am obsessed. Somebody Stop Me !!!

Amen... without the shroomery, I would have never gotten to try Lepista nuda, Chanterelles, Boletes, or Copelandia cyanensis. I would have overlooked 100 Psilocybe cubensis growing in mulch at work. I would have gone through life eating Agaricus and possibly trying oysters or shiitake, but never experiencing some of the better edibles nature has to offer.
I would have never cultivated two P. cubensis (yup.. just two) or gotten two syringes of oyster liquid culture from Workman for sending him a tissue sample and spore prints, so that I can grow my own oysters (someday soon - they're in the fridge now. Need to find straw...). I would not have a colonized jar of grain in my fridge right now, either.
Thank you shroomery, for making my life richer. When I get paid (new job), I'll jump right on that subscription. Right after I buy stuff for an automated growing system... and a new Mac to surf the shroomery on.
