Are you an addict

if yes, what to, if not why do you not consider your self one?

Its a fine line that many of us walk, doing our best to use ethogens responsibly, some time our habbits grows stronger than us, and we cross the line into addiction....

I smoke too much some might say. I also drink any where from a six to a twelve in a week, sometimes less..... Maybe go out two or three times and have a couple or a couple more.

You should have seen me a few years ago, torn and tuned up.

Yea, i drink wayyyy too much. Usually a 6 pack a night, but thats only if i restrain myself by not getting a 12 or 18. Ive been good this week, ive only had about 12 beers so far...

Im slowly breaking my tobacco habbit, down to a pack every 3-4 days, alot better than 2 a day. Pots not too too bad, usually about a 1/2 oz a week. Havent purchased any in a few weeks, but my buddy has a few outdoors that are budding. So i have ben smoking, but VERY light in comparison to a few months ago.

I have an addictive personality i guess, im just happy i hate blow and needles.

I exhibit mild to moderate compulsive cannabistic behavior.

Alcohol is addicted to me. If I don't drink it just sits there in the bottle and does nothing all day everyday. What a waste.

If you asked me last week I would have said I was addicted to pot. I normally smoke at least once a day and I'd fiend if I could not do so. However I have not had any money this week and I've been 4 days w/o smoking and I don't even miss it. I have not had a desire that I would in any way consider overwhelming and I haven't even had trouble falling asleep at night. 4 days is hardly worth not calling myself an addict, but I'm thinking of going a couple of weeks to just see if I can easily do it. I know this weekend I'll be offered many times if I want to smoke so that will be the true test. Hopefully I'll be able to answer this question as no, but right now I'm unsure.

Yes, I am an addict. I've been addicted to Oxycontin for about the last 4 years of my life. It pretty much took over my everything, all my money, all my intentions and thoughts. I stole from family and friends to get it, I've been to rehab twice and still havn't kicked it.

In a last ditch attempt to better myself I've weened myself off it and moved across the country where I have access to nothing. But I am in the process of having my dealer send me some in the mail, so yeah I'm an addict. Thats an addiction, not to down anyones thoughts on their "pot addictions" but when I don't have my shit I sit in a corner convulsing and puking on myself.

Cigarettes too, but it's not exactly on the same level.

ya. iv heard its like peanut butter and honey.
as for my addictions...
well weed is definetly one. i smoke everyday. sept 2 days ago i obstained. made me pretty pissy. weed just helps me maintain some asemblence in my extremly bust mind. it helps calm the watters surface if you will.
nitrous is probly the only drug i have had an honest to god problem with.
its not so much the drugs im addicted to. its the sence odisolving myself. to roll back into the omniuniverse that is this moment right now. i mean yeah. it may just be nurons bouncing around. but in the end we are all just bouncing around, complementing some grander harmony we can never truly realise.
and on it goes

I am a pot addict, I am trying to get over it, I smoke everyday, all day long, until I pass out and go to bed. Somehow I havent smoke for 5 days I think, it has happened 2 times to me, that i have stopped smoking pot, both ocassions, I had this conection with everything, and everything falls back in place, the weird part is that those 2 times i hear voices, actually one female voice talking to me, telling me to wake up and join my brothers healers, so fucking crazy, when i am in this state, things manifest in real world, like at that moment I couldnt find my wallet and this voice told me where it was, then I am walking out of my house and this voice told me to ring the bell nextdoor cause a fire was going to happen, when i went nextdoor i could smell somthing burning, i just banged at the door like crazy and left, probably waking them up. I have my keychain with the keys of the apt of my last relationship, funny cause the voice told me that my house keys are good luck, there were some keychains together, but the one holding my apt keys was this 8 ball, which if you put it sideways is the infinity sign, and made me throw the rest of the keys and keep only mine. And a lot more things that are very personal. It hit me that the coincidences happening on my life were signals for me.

So everytime i go crazy like that i stop smoking pot, last year it was for a week, now i really dont know how is it going to last. But now I am at peace with me and happy for the first time, and everybody that met me before tells me i have changed.

I cant eat red meat now, not because I dont like it, but because it doesnt feel right anymore.

I ve been addicted to cigs, alcohol, gambling and sex, and by seasons to differents kinds of pills.

I have been lost since ever, now I found myself, i hope I dont lose myself again.

definitely my biggest problem in life as well. i know it's probably not as serious as some real addictions to drugs and whatnot, but it has cost me several thousand dollars, not to mention many missed opportunities and poor grades in college.

i smoke when i have it. i can smoke every night for a few weeks, and i can go several months without. so i wouldn't say that's an addiction for me. similar with alcohol. i drink on the weekends. maybe a beer or two at night while winding down, but only every so often, and again, when i have it.

it really is. i start getting depressed with myself if i'm in a particularly nonproductive funk. then, if i'm able to drag myself out of the house, or get myself involved in a new project, i have a renewed vigor that can literally make me shiver with excitement.

the problem is actually dragging myself into action when it's just so easy to sit on the computer and fuck around all day. that other stuff takes effort.

that is the bright side to my handicap. when i do get around to focusing on something with interest, then i fuckin' rawk it hardcore, been blessed with my father's ghetto-rigging capabilities... so long as it doesn't require more than a few hours worth of focus. unfortunately, nothing worthwhile can actually happen in such a short timespan, which makes that skill pretty much useless.

it's also why i have everything i could possibly need to grow mad mushies.. but haven't had a grow op in like 18 months.
