anyone seem to have these? the radio keeps telling me the meaning of life when i wake up or someone comes and wakes me up and it's like some big joke related to my dream
it's kind of funny kind of weird too, how adept the mind is at making associations even when you're not conscious

Yeah, I think I know what you mean.
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

I used to get those all the time. And I'm not sure if they've so much stopped as I've become so used to them that I don't even notice it much anymore.
But sometimes I still do.

What always amazes me (sorry if this is slightly off-topic) is when you are in a dream, and everything in the dream leads up to a moment where a phone rings or something, only to awake and it is your alarm clock ringing.
The pre-organization of the dream to perfectly lead up to that moment is astounding.
And yeah, I have those moments when I wake up and I've figured out the world, and all of my problems. Then I forget them, or lose the frame of mind to practice it and have it be relevant.
I happened to have flipped around in my bed this morning to sleep with my cat who was at my feet. When I re-awoke, the sun was shining in my eyes and face, leaving a nice orange glow behind my eyelids and a very warm feeling across my face (which was all I was aware of at the moment). Then all in a flash, I had an idea of how the sun was metaphorical for god for so many throughout history, and then I related it's warmth, etc to love, and I basked in it, and it made so much sense was so great. I can't even get across the entire idea, or the entire feeling because I forget.
I don't even know what I'm saying. I'm saying that I get what you are saying.

DUDE I just had that pre-organization thing happen, what's that about?
It wasn't like a steady thing like an alarm that my mind could have used to formulate a scenario.
I dreamed I was doing something that was making my roomate angry, and he said "I'm so pissed off!..." but he was barging in saying it in real life thus waking me up and went on to give a reason different from what I had dreamed.
Also have you guys noticed any telepathy in the Hypnagogic State?
I was drifting off and heard the words "Go Outside!" in my head, and awoke to a door slam.
I asked my roomate, "Did you just say something?" He said, "No, I just put the dog out." I said, "You didn't just say "Go Outside! ?" He said "No, but I THOUGHT IT."
Curiouser and curiouser...

I was once in the middle of a very disturbing dream which I can't now remember. The dream seemed to be at its crescendo, and there was what I remember as a terrifying image of the Bible coming to life as kind of a monster - of course that doesn't convey .0000001% of the image 'cause I can barely remember it. The second that image flashed across my face, the terror of it made me wake up. The second I woke up, I heard my sister fall down the stairs, followed by my parents calling her name and running from their room to say if she was okay. I was completely freaked out.
