So I find the luteofolius gymn's all the time and they are never really that potent (not like gymns are meant to be), but I was wondering, if instead of feeding them straight water and stuff, if I could maybe give them something different to maybe encourage psilocybin production. And if this isn't possible, then is there anything I can mix my water with to increase growth, or fruiting?

So is this basically such a dumb question that it's not worth answering?
This is my first time trying to grow just so you know. I read somewhere that temperature effects potency? I tried looking for the chart (it had a list of what factors effected what like amount of fruits, and size of fruits).
Basically I've got them under some foliage in a humid cool area not exposed to usnlight for long. I took the mycelium and put it on top of some woodchips, I then got some wet cardboard and layed it touching the mycelium. I then put on a top layer of more woodchips (I know these are the proper substrate as it's the exact woodchips I find them always growing in) added a tiny amount of all purpose plant food and sorrounded the woodchips with snail bait (My slugs love shrooms). I then added a bit of water to the whole pile, and then sprayed it with a mister.
Does this sound like an okay plan to help encourage mycelium growth and healthy fruits?

I couldn't imagine the plant food being of any help, this mush is a secondary decomposer, it gets its nutes from what it's decomposing, not the same way plants absorb nutes.

Ah. I see. So it's simply decomposing the woodchips? Well I'm helping out the sorrounding shrubbery all the same then!
