sorry i forgot to mention that the syringe has been in a ziplock baggie in the fridge since i got it, thanks for all the help too

Sounds like you're good to go. That three year thing was probably me. In HS my parents found my attempt. I don't exactly remember, but either I convinced pops it was model airplane glue in a syringe for easy application, or they just forgot to ditch them. I was visiting from college years later when I found the syringe (PF) in the garage and decided to test it. It worked pretty well.

(provided its not ecu #25, which went out in march 99)

Please let me know how it turns out.

The longest I know of my syringes lasting is 14 months,, without natural preservatives, this same good friend, had a PF fat ass syringe that was about 17 months old. They all worked. And I seen the mycelium growing and the whole new setup myself... and know when I sent them to him... so I have no doubt the data was correct..
