First let me say that i'm not an expert (although I no alot), but that sounds pretty good. Good job for looking out.

1 tablespoon table syrup (corn syrup) was added to 50 ml boiling water. The water was cooled to room temperature. 2 ml of the resulting solution was added, via syringe, to the top vermiculite layer of a 1/4 pint (not 1/2 pint, as per normal) PF-style cake. This cake has produced 4 (yes, FOUR) fat flushes with some gigantic fruits. There is no sign of deterioration in the mycelium. In fact, this little champion has outlasted every half pint cake that was birthed at the same time, and is about to produce another flush. The strain is PF's Hawaiian.

Looks like this post may have become lost in the multitudes...Have other people had success with this?? Has anyone tried it with casings? From what Psycho Mike sez this is a great idea.
