Do pets with really strong olfactory senses (dogs, cats, pretty much any non human) get high just from being in a room with smoke?

My cat seems to get all tripped out whenever I do.

No matter what anyone says, I'm pretty positive that when my tiny living room gets bonged out, my dogs get high. One especially will get very drousy and limp. And he'll let me do anything I want to him. So I'd have to say yes.

Either that or they're just lazy. I seriously could not tell with my cat because I think she's high 24/7: if she's not eating she's sleeping. *shrugs*

My cat would get high and love doing it. He would come into the room the first minute we lighted up. We would blow him shotgun and he would just start chilling, laying there, passing out. His pupils would be huge too! About 30 minutes later he would go eat then fall asleep for half a day and no one could bother him. I miss him :frown:

Yeah cats know when you have been smoking, I don't think it's from the smoke and them getting high (although I am sure they can), I think they can also just feel the vibes your giving off hehe.

I give mine catnip sometimes, they love it, gets em right off.

lol yea certain types of catnip is like herion for cats, my girlfriend has 3 cats and it the house turns into a warzone when I start giving them all a shit load of catnip.

And yes dogs definatly can get high...I know this for a fact. The best example of I've seen of this was my buddie back in high school that had 4 little dogs....it was like 2 miniature dachschunds, 1 crazy mix that was part artic wolf, and some other little tiny weird dog. Everytime we'd blaze at his house we'd usually sit out on this picnic table, and his dogs would always run outside and jump up on the table and try to get right up eye level with us so we'd blow smoke at them. They loved that shit....but then again thats probably because they were surrounded by it all day at his house.

I also used to know this jerk that dealed, and he wuld litterally give his dog big ass trees to chew on, like a giant stem with probably at least a 1/2 oz on it. Strangly that little mutty thing never seemed to get tripped out despite eating all those buds. I think that was because he was like a super-mut and was already retarded.

I had a cat that would always come sit and sniff whenever we fired one up. I don't know if he got high or just liked the smell but you couldn't keep away if you wanted to.

I grow catnip every summer for the two I have now. They deserve some etheo too after all. Tripping balls is about the only way to describe it's effects. They build up a tolerance fast. Just like weed it's the flowers they love the most. It doesn't matter what part of the house the cats are in I can't get more than a foot inside the house before they run up to me begging.

well, just because a dog or cat can SMELL the smoke better doesnt mean more of it is getting in its lungs so keep that in mind, but yeah if its really smokey im sure pets feel the effect

They definetly can. Everytime me and my friend light one up, his cat will come into the room, get fucked up, and stare at the wall for 30 min.

i think it is animal abuse
I hear stories about people and there dogs liking the high but from my experience the animal always gets scared or falls asleep.
