Strange that the main airline in Israel suddenly has "no flight" from the biggest jew population center outside of Israel on the very same day that the entire US Air Force will be "standing down." A lot of people said that 4,000 jews didn't show up to work at the World Trade Center in New York on 9-11. Jews seemed to "know" some big attack was going to take place that day and they didn't go to work. By the way, on 9-11, the U.S. Air Force was ordered to "stand down" while those attacks were taking place! Here we are six years later, the neo-cons are taking all sorts of flak over the Iraq war; the US economy is headed into financial collapse, the jews still want the US to attack Iran but they can't overcome public opinion so. . . . . . another "terrorist attack" on the US would do the trick! Strange then, that El Al has no flights from NYC on Friday Sept. 14. . . . . Is this a HINT? Do the jews know something about Sept 14 the way they seemed to know about 9-11??
CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES WILL HAVE ZERO FIGHTER AIRCRAFT TO PROTECT THE NATION Despite our own CIA Director making a rare public speech claiming Al-Qaida is planning "high-impact attacks against the U.S. Homeland" our Air Force has taken steps to make our entire country vulnerable to such attacks on September 14. In an order given to all fighter pilots and bomber pilots, the entire U.S. Air Force will "stand down" on Friday September 14. We will have ZERO air defense for the entire country on that day! They have ordered this stand down after five nuclear bombs were "accidentally shipped by plane from Minot AFB in North Dakota to Bartsdale AFB in Louisiana on a B-52 bomber. The military says they need to stand down to go over nuclear protocols.
What is very odd about this order is that Fighter jets NEVER carry nuclear bombs. Only Bombers carry nuclear warheads. So why are fighter pilots also being ordered to stand down? If a terrorist attack takes place on September 14, then we know that our own government made it possible with a military stand-down order. If such an attack takes place, We The People of the United States will be left with no choice but to exercise our "orginal right of self defense" and remove our government from power by any and all means necessary, barring nothing. Those in government are hereby warned: If your stand down order allows a terrorist attack to occur, we will come for you.

This claim is incorrect. Neither fighters or bombers carry nuclear weapons, as it is a violation of treaties the US has signed. However, there are nuclear weapons designed for delivery by fighter jet. The implied "fighter jets cannot carry nuclear bombs" is completely inaccurate. We even have nuclear armed artillery shells.
I guess on Saturday we will know if the moonbats are moonbats; if not, I will be owing somebody an apology for calling them a moonbat.

All I'm saying is that if another terrorist attacks occurs
a. I would be shocked as America since about a month after 9/11 has been tearing itself apart in just about every way imaginable. All a new attack will do is bring us together, but I doubt it would sway public opinion enough to get the majority to back another unjust war as it did back then. We're getting wrecked in Iraq. Iran would be the end of our military. Hmmmmm...
and
b. I'm not going after anybody. What are we going to do? Run up on the white house with pistols and shotguns? Can't see that doing much good. Are we going to kill those in power? Kick out every judge in the nation, appoint new ones and try them? Geez.

Bring us together by leading to new legislature that would restrict our freedoms even further? I'm shocked that you have lived this far.

What would you say then? That our men and women are dying for a good cause? That Iraq is anywhere near ready to stand on it's own? That there's a decent answer anywhere in near sight?
Not trying to sound flippant, but it is a mess over there.

No, that's not what I meant.
From a strategic standpoint, and I'm not sure how old you are and if you remember when the worst "problem" America had was that Bill Clinton couldn't keep from getting it on with interns, but why would you want to attack us right now if you're a terrorist? Things are going great! Afghanistan is slowly but surely getting sick of us and the Taliban by all accounts from both the military leaders and top journalists that have been there is growing and re-grouping with all of the recruits that the invasion brought. Iraq is a mess and our country more bitter then ever with just about everything. Not all of us, but still, there's a LOT of venom out there right now.
The powers that be would, as you stated, use it to ramp up more fighting, take away more of our freedoms, and last but not least, with everyone from the White House to Joe Blow on the streets knowing that our ground forces are stretched to the maximum right now, allow "them" to rationalize using heavy air power and if need be, our most dangerous of weapons.
Add in that we'd have another wave of 'patriotism" and an obvious common enemy once again, plus a bunch of new Toby Keith songs, and I can't think of why you'd want to give this administration another chance to do "right" in the eyes of both a sickened American public and the world at large. Another major attack WOULD produce sympathy where there is now little to none, or would you argue THAT point?
Does that clear my point up a bit?

Glad you liked it. Ever see that SNL cartoon where all the presidents need to drum up support for something else crooked and they decide to call TK in to help them pull one over? It was perfect and I'm sure it pissed a lot of rednecks off.
If they even watch SNL that is.

And it would be sure to fucking devastate our economy and give some politicians the means to fuel their campaign without actually doing a thing. I don't remember much. I'm eighteen. My generation sucks and it just so happens the world is going to need us more than any generation before. We're fucked.

Here comes 5 stars for seeing the reality of the situation. I feel for the kids that basically came of age after 9/11. There's always been, and will always be problems, but besides 68-75, these have to be some of the darkest hours in America's history, if not THE.
As far as the economy goes, personal debt to savings has never been lower, we passed the former benchmark that was set in 1933 during the great depression last year some time (I may be off with the exact times, so feel free to correct me) the fake azz over inflated, "roll your credit cards into your mortgage because your house goes up by 1K a month and why not" housing market is getting checked HARD right now in many places (including where I live) and there's no turn around in sight. Many economists are predicting record bankruptcy rates (of course right after they severely tightened the laws and made filing MUCH more difficult for the little man) and foreclosures are already soaring.
But at least we know our administration isn't trying to have sex with interns praise Jesus!!
Why risk attacking us again? Like my Gramps always told me, "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it".

They run the media, which runs the people, who run the government. My little variation of the elitist model. I doubt that we will be living in an Orwellian society though. You'll see in the coming century that those who run things will have their power dwindling. Resources will be strained. There will be a lack of fresh water which will also lead to famine and the people will become disorderly and less prone to manipulation and control. We will have to unite as people in order to survive this century. I have my doubts as to the true nature of humanity but only time will tell. I'm not sure what the hell I'm talking about.

Yeah, I try to keep it basic and not focus on it too awful much. I just read my first newspaper in 4 months and I'm not better off for it. It's hard to say what can and will happen.
One aspect that I find to be very important and seldom mentioned is the fact that as this beast grows, more idiots have to be involved and that creates fissures in their plans.
On the other hand, apathy is at an all time high, and people are SO divided over the smallest crap these days, that groups coming together for a common (good) cause is almost an impossibility. And certainly to keep these groups together with the huge egos and lack of discipline in our society becomes a tougher task by the day.
Either way, I try to enjoy all the great things that I DO have in my life and forget about the rest as much as is possible.
And I'm with Robby, I too don't know what the heck I'm talking about.

People in America have to see the shit hit the fan repeatedly to get the message and make changes. It's not like that in Europe. At least not as bad.
Quote:

Just wait until things really start going south. I'm confident that we can fix things but millions of people are going to die before we get to a point where we can agree to help each other out. The problem we have is focusing in on short term wealth. For example, we are killing off the fishes in the oceans at an astounding rate. In order to create a sustainable fish supply we will need to section off 20 % of the ocean for the sole purpose of letting the fish populations rebuild. We have .01 % currently preserved. The governments could easily accomplish this goal but that would hurt the already weak and over subsidized fishing economy in the short run. They would rather protect their short term wealth rather than help create a sustainable ,yet still profitable, fishing industry. Foresight is key. We have none. On another note, Hoegaarden beer is delicious.

If there were to be a revolution(which I doubt, at least not soon) it would need to have the backing of the majority of the country. It would be impossible to track its supporters. Like if everyone took their speeding tickets to court the government couldn't handle it all. Same principle.
