Spawn bags in PC?

How do I place spawn bags in the PC?
Assume I only want to do one large spawn bag at a time, placed on the metal rack and with an inch of water in the bottom, PC'd for 2 hours.
Do I seal it before PCing [if it only has a filter patch], or afterwards? Do I fold the flap at the top underneath the spawn bag so it's sitting on its own lid, do I need to make sure the filter patch is upwards-facing and is unimpeded within the bag itself?

Isnt there a tek somewhere, i swear one of the grow guides uses bags. I think you seal before. i dont know what flap your talking about and for the patch unimpeded would be best

By flap I just mean everything [i.e the plastic/bag] above where you've filled the substrate to. Is it possible to seal afterwards? I was hoping to use a book binder or just a metal wire and I'm not sure that'd work so well in a PC if I did it beforehand.

Yeah your supposed to get those sealer thingies, I dont know if you could seal it down but some of the grow kits do that. they suggest clothes pegs or something. i think bulldog clips would work better. As long as your not sealing between the substrate and the patch your fine. I think youd be ok to seal after the PCing. providing its asap

I seal after sterilization and inoculation. You'll have to make provisions to allow the pressure to escape from the bag as the PC cools down or the bag will burst. I use a tyvek sleeve placed the entire length of the flap from the substrate to the end of the bag. This allows the pressure to escape, but also filters any air that tries to seep back into the bags. Using this method, I've left them to sit on a countertop in open air for several days prior to inoculation. The tyvek prevents contaminants from entering.
I use steel tie-wire to seal the bags. I don't even own an impulse sealer. RR

The ones that are presealable, you can seal before you pc. They allow more air to enter/escape than the normal ones. Haven't had a problem doing that yet.
