zechariah sitchen is a fucking idiot.

No.

sitchen says that major turnovers in civilization are due to this planet called "nibiru" that comes near the earth every 3000 years.

Yes.

if you go to the minor planet database there are literally THOUSANDS of asteroids and planetoids out beyond the orbit of pluto and neptune.

Yes..

but nibiru, an inhabited planet, with super-humanoids that like to mine gold and genetically engineer humans... uh. no.
sorry shroomism

And why not?

an orbital calculation of what the planet must have to have all the characteristics he claims for it shows that its atmosphere would be frozen oxygen snow most of the time

So? Life can survive in all sorts of conditions. Especially with the aid of high tech gadgetry.

there may be a comet with about that orbit

Yes..

also, if nibiru was coming back in a few years youd see it by now.

Do you mean with the naked eye? I don't think this is the case. If you mean with a telescope..I don't know, some poeple say they CAN see it. I don't have access to a telescope. Do you?

sitchen goes to great lengths to explain how the anunaki/nibiruans conceal the existence of their planet with advanced technology. of course he doesnt explain how they can mask its gravitational perturbation of other planets, and how it could survive in a stable orbit that eccentric without colliding lethally with a lot of other junk all the time.

One would think that a race capable of making an entire planet appear non existant would also have the ability to make sure said planet is kept safe. Giant "La-zers".

so, nibiru, as zechariah sitchin frames it, is total bullshit.

I don't think you proved this at all.

oh no?
i beg to differ

hes out of touch with reality. he is almost incapable of accurately interpreting photographs.
he distorts everything he gets his hands on into "evidence" to support his theories.
like, his justification for some of his ideas about the anunaki are based on three or more levels of word-association.

some sumerian word sounds like some hebrew word which if you change one of the letters means "gold" in egyptian. therefore the anunaki needed to genetically engineer humans from chimps in order to have a slave race to mine gold to make a sheild to save their atmosphere?

*cough*delusional*ahem*

you can look up a bunch of sitchin interviews on the web.
sitchin claims his brother is an astrophysicist, like this somehow makes his theories more credible.
i doubt his brother wants anything to do with his theories.
theyre so fucking easy to disprove, its embarrassing that people take this guy seriously.

sitchen gets points for being able to read sumerian, if he really can.

otherwise his lifes work is a bunch of useless bullshit, and I think he knows it.
hes just stuck cranking out these books in order to make a living.
his books are basically a second-rate science fiction concept presented in this kind of van daniken "chariots of the gods" format.

check out the center photo pages of one of his books that has mars photos in it.
there are these pictures that anyone who has ever been out to the desert immediately recognizes as a silt wash.
sitchin says they are martian architecture built by the anunaki.

the anunaki, if you examine the original stories he's taking literally, is an astro-theological work. the anunaki represent various astronomical features in sumerian astrology.

the guy is clueless. hes a fundamentalist thats obsessed with some wierd underlying assumption that just doesnt stand up to any sort of scrutiny.

his basic premise is "what if all the scriptures of the world are meant to be taken literally"

theyre not.
so whats his point?

this guy's work led to the persistent cult rumor that the earth is hollow and that UFOs come from secret nazi bases in the center of the hollow earth, with its opening at the north pole.

Have you ever been to the center of the Earth?
Crystal cities of new age hooey galore! And don't forget the reptilians...
Ever since they were banished from the surface they have made it quite comfy under there
